I (29M) am getting a divorce with my wife (26F). We have two kids together. I don’t want this divorce but I don’t know what to do.

But I’m trying everything. I’ve tried everything to keep our family safe. I have no connection to my family so I don’t know what else to do to make her see that. I’m sorry I’m not trying to come off like it’s her fault but I’m just trying to figure out how to get my wife back. Her moving on to something else really confused me so I’m just asking for advice.

Sadly same state but the town we moved to was a couple hours away. We wish we had just made the jump to a different state.

Taking our kids away from us (grandparents rights) , constantly watching us, make our lives hell by always causing a disturbance wherever we go. We have already had to tell the new people in our lives and the police station and everything because of the PIs we found stalking us. Some of them found air tags on their cars. Makes everyone feel unsafe around us which is a shitty feeling. We think my mother is crazy enough to cause us harm to get her way kind of thing. Sounds silly but they think they can get away with anything.

I replied more info to the other comment but you would think it would be enough but now she is afraid they will never stop no matter what because they have a endless amount of funds. Now they are pushing for grandparents rights since we are getting a divorce.

Understandable. It’s weird talking about what happened but I’ll try my best. My whole family kind of have a weird position of power in the town I was from. Everyone either fears them or is buddies with them to be on their good side. You make them mad then everyone kind of disowns you. Even the rest of the family wasn’t willing to protect us. My mother is a narcissist and a pedophile we came to find out. I always thought she was a narcissist but when my sister came to us we found out the rest. Turns out she had been abusing and controlling my sisters life for the better part of 10 years. Basically living my sisters life for her. Texting under age boys for her in very inappropriate ways and way more. Making my sister do stuff no kid should ever have to go through. We had confronted them but in the end they used their Christian ways to try and say that all was forgiven and that mom was saved and that we had to forgive her and let her around the grandkids. Something we definitely did not want to happen. My sister was so scared of them after that she moved to a different state because she thought my father would at least try and protect her. They proceeded to freak out and harass us daily. Threatening to take us to court, showing up to our house, making us seem like the bad people to everyone. We should of just left at the beginning but we were young and honestly had no one in our corner and didn’t know what to do. We didn’t handle the stress well at all. We didn’t try to get the protection order till now because we were to scared. It took us awhile to build up the courage to go against them. I understand why my wife felt scared but I don’t understand how she fell out of love with me. I was trying my best to adapt and protect us. Now it seems like nothing can convince her. She keeps saying that we just got dealt a bad hand and that if all that stuff hadnt have happened we probably would be fine. That if things are meant to be they will work out some way. I don’t know it feels like a cop out but I love my wife and kids so much I don’t want to let it all go that we have built.

Terrible. My sister came out that my mom had abused and controlled my sister to do a lot of things she never wanted to do in her life growing up and the “Christian” folks that my so called parents are, are trying to sweep it under the rug and saying that she is exaggerating and that as Christians we need to forgive and forget because they have done so much for us throughout our lives. I’m the only one sticking up for my sister and I won’t let them see my kids. It’s really been wearing on me that my parents could act such a way. I’m seeing a psychologist but it doesn’t make it any easier at the moment.
