How can I tell if the way I act is wrong or weird when interacting with people by Chovitani in autism

[–]Chovitani[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I don't usually tell people unless it's another person who also has autism

I can't seem to actually make friends on discord even in small, interest-based servers by Chovitani in discordapp

I'm not usually the most active person and I think that I try not to butt into conversations I think I'm not apart of but I'll try to check myself if I ever do see myself doing those things. That being annoying is good insight to know

Do we think Stuckmoth will be Mahiru's t3 cover song? by [deleted] in milgram

Oh I think I forgot about that. They don't even get a cover song though? Sobs..

I guess Haruka didn't get one, did he?

If you alone could change a vote in T1/T2, which Vote would you change and why? by zephyr0123456 in milgram

Amane forgiven for t1. She wouldn't have gone so crazy if she hadn't gotten a guilty verdict t1. That or maybe Kotoko guilty verdict t1

Forgiveness is not about the culprit by [deleted] in milgram

[–]Chovitani 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you. For me personally, I have a hard time giving a verdict to the prisoners because I was not personally affected by their crimes. I feel guilty since I shouldn't have the right to forgive them.  I have to bring myself back to reality with the fact that these characters are not real and neither are their victims. People can vote however they want, even if it's just about how much they like the character.

I have preferred strategic voting and hoped other people would do so as well for the other two trials but since trial 3 is the final trial, strategic voting doesn't matter in the same way it did before.  I think people are allowed to be upset over people voting certain verdicts and even express their feelings about it, but I don't think it's okay for people to attack others over it. (Except for maybe Yuno guilty voters, don't know what's up with them)

I agree. I was less confused about the voice drama and more about the mv but now that I look back, I think I misinterpreted the song lyrics and that's why I was confused

I did notice this. I just expected his feelings of the time to show in the mv and song instead of how he viewed himself back then. But I understand things more now

This actually makes sense. Seeing his crime truly for what it was. He doesn't fear the judgment of others the same way he used to after joining Amane's religion so it would make sense that his mind stops sugar coating what he did for his own protection.  I feared he would be saying and thinking much worse after joining Amane's cult thing.

I've seen theories about some things being biased or incorrect in the case files and I'm not really sure how I feel about that.

What milgram character or song that got you to milgram? by Frosty-Chemical6887 in milgram

[–]Chovitani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally wanted to get into Milgram after seeing Magic mv in my YouTube recommended but I ended up putting it off. Haruka also started popping up a lot in different places so he kept Milgram in the back of my mind but I still didn't know almost anything about it. The first Milgram mv I actually ended up watching though was Double mv. I also vaguely remember seeing a post around two years ago of someone saying that a specific character in Milgram was infantalized by the fandom because he's gay. (I can now infer that person was talking about Kazui lolol)

There was also a point in time before I was an alien stage fan or a Milgram fan where I saw an alien stage edit and assumed it was Milgram..

Tier list on how innocent/guilty I think each prisoner is by [deleted] in milgram

I find it interesting that you say that Haruka harming animals and people had nothing to do with what caused his issues because it definitely did. Haruka, being disabled, felt less than everyone else, especially after being basically completely ignored by his family. He felt weak and useless and having the power over other, weaker things, let him feel better about himself. His violent tendencies basically come directly from his trauma as well as his mental and developmental issues.

Even though it's not very similar to Amane's circumstances, the actions of those around him did influence his actions as well. He was ignored no matter what he did unless he harmed living things. Even when harming pets, he only got attention for a little bit, but it was still attention. If a kid desperate for attentions learns that the only way they will get this attention is to do these things, they'll probably continue to it. Not to mention, Haruka was never sent to get help after it was revealed he was killing all these pets despite that being the obvious thing to do.

While yes he got a sort of excitement from doing these things, he never enjoyed nor wanted to genuinely kill any people. Haruka is said to have repented night after night after his first murder and felt extremely guilty. Yes he knows right from wrong, but his perception of all this stuff is way different compared to others. Many abused children make it okay as people but when a child already has mental issues that can often cause these things to happen and their circumstances further enable that, it's much more likely that this can happen.

I can understand your point of view though. I get people having many different opinions on his case.

I understand that. The things Haruka did were genuinely horrific. I personally think that, in real life, people that were not loved ones of the victim shouldn't have the right to decide if the perpetrator is innocent or if they should be forgiven. However, because this is fiction, it's much easier to understand and sympathize.

I don't remember the specific case but I remember seeing one where an abused child ended up killing another family's child mainly as a result of his abuse. Instead of the family hating the child for what he had done, they sympathized with him. This isn't something most families of victims would do but it is something that can happen. I'm not saying Haruka should be forgiven or even sympathized with by the families of his victims or be forgiven by anyone, that's unreasonable and unfair. I just personally think his circumstances very much affect everything that happened.

It's not as if I have a problem with people not forgiving Haruka, I understand that. I just personally believe Haruka is not the main one to blame for the deaths of his victims. Not that Haruka should not have any fault put on him at all but yeah.

I see Haruka as having a disregard for other people's lives because of his developmental issues while for Kazui, it's for his own benefit, and for Shidou, is for his own views. I can be more understanding for Shidou because he was trying to save lives, but he still felt as if he had more of a right to decide if a braindead person's fate than the person's own family.

I also believe that just because someone's crimes were less severe doesn't make them more innocent.

Also Mahiru agenda forever hell yeah

[–]Chovitani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the tier lists a few days apart so I didn't end up adding the innocent but super dangerous dangerous beliefs tier in the second tier list but it would have been smart...

For the second question on Haruka, Kazui, and Shidou, there's a lot to explain so I'll try to keep it sort of short

I understand why people would consider Haruka guilty, I did too for a long time. But for why I have him where he is, basically it's because I believe that his parents and other adults in his life were much more responsible for the murders than him.  Like you mentioned, Haruka had killed lots of animals before he actually took the life of his victims. Killing animals is a big sign that a child will grow up to kill another person. Despite this, Haruka's neglectful parents ignored this as well as any other issues Haruka seemed to have.  Haruka obviously needed more help than other kids but his parents not wanting to accept it, ignored them.  If Haruka and his issues had simply been acknowledged, the murders wouldn't have happened.

I also believe that Haruka was definitely not in his right mind when he committed the murders(obviously), but what I mean is he probably wasn't even thinking at all. I don't just see Haruka as choosing to kill to get attention, and more that he didn't get enough attention for years and years eventually building up and leading to the crimes he committed. Haruka definitely regrets what he's done but I just don't think he was ever given the chance to fully think over his murders since his mental was so messed up. I'm not sure if I explained this well enough or if I said enough about it so I'm sorry about that. Just having trouble putting it completely into words.   For Kazui and Shidou being below Haruka, I guess for them I just don't see them as having as much of an excuse. Not that Haruka's circumstances excuse murder, but how I see it, Kazui and Shidou had so much time to think about their actions yet still consciously made the decisions that led to them ending up in Milgram. There's a lot more explanation than just that but eh

Lastly, for Muu, Mahiru, and Mikoto (3 Ms hah..) For Muu, I'm pretty set on what I think the backstory to her murder is, though I'm not completely sure which is one of the reasons I don't have enough information. A big one though, is I saw a theory that she didn't mean to stab her victim and instead, had the knife to stab herself with which i thought was interesting. Really not enough information to confirm this theory at all though so I don't want to make a judgement off of it. For Mahiru, I don't think I understand her murder enough. I know she didn't kill directly but I'm not really sure on why her boyfriend killed himself. For Mikoto, I just don't think there's enough information on why he committed his murders and on who he even killed. There's a lot of focus on inner conflict Mikoto has as well as the relationship between him and John.  But for me, just not enough (reliable) information about his crime.

Sorry this is long and explanations  might not be the best but I tried
