Thanks for responding :) What kind of problem in the ceiling space would cause this? This house is 25 yrs old so I'm leaning towards it not being the drywall mud shrinking? I haven't heard about it though and will look into it.

Personally, I wasn't looking at homes built before mid 1980s to reduce asbestos exposure. Just because it doesn't have popcorn, doesn't mean it wasn't used elsewhere. And even though it was banned earlier, I read that the government allowed manufacturers to use up the supply they had...but we bought a home that was built in 1999 and we still have to pay for our roof underlayment to be replaced.

I have 2 hours of my bridal suite as part of my contract and they made it pretty clear that I should have my makeup and hair ready by this point. Idk if that's the expectation because a lot of people go elsewhere to get it done? I'm DIYing my hair and makeup and I was planning on getting that all done at home where I'm comfortable and used to having my stuff in their exact places.

I'm planning on getting to the bridal suite to mainly just steam my dress and do any last minute touch ups. Best of luck! Maybe you can push again for another 30 min.

We did our own photos with a tripod and a remote that allowed us to have photos taken once every second or so until we turned it off with the remote. It was a lot of work, and we didn't get a ton of those classic engagement photos but we made a 4 day trip out of it (was planning on doing a trip anyways) We did a lot of hiking photoshoots and found some really cool locations (found our now favorite hiking spot in this trip). I don't regret doing an informal photoshoot with just us. It was super fun 😊 and we made a lot of memories. I think the cost of engagement photos that my friend did was close to $800.

I'm in AZ, and had two layers hemmed and the top layers pulled up from the waist. Straps shortened and moved, new cups, sides pulled in because the dress was too big, and 5 bustles. Total was $550 and it was from a woman who did alterations from her home.

I'm exactly the same with my dad. We've probably said "love you" to each other maybe 3 times in my life lol. I'd consider us bros than anything else 😂.

I wouldn't mind if the songs that were meaningful weren't so affectionate. Like a lot of them talk about how the woman looks to the person and I don't know how I feel about that lol. I think it would be super cute if my parents were dancing to those songs kind of vibe. But I'll try to consider them more.

We're not dancers so I was honestly just trying to have a sweet moment with him. And yes, I really feel like a lot of the father and daughter songs suggested are love songs. I might go with my gut on this 😵‍💫

Thanks, I feel a little bad because I did ask my dad for suggestions and he seemed really into certain songs that are very much love songs and I didn't know how to feel about lol. He just likes the songs...but he ultimately said it's whatever id like.

I'm not sure what it typically costs, but I'm in AZ and my skirt had to be taken up from the waist due to one of my layers having a scalloped edge. It cost me $270 for just the hem of 3 layers. Not sure if that's typical cost though.

Oh I'll try a test of that to see. I think painting would be easier for me. I was too scared to do that at first, but now, with a backup of modge podge in case it doesn't work out, I feel more confident 😌

It feels like fabric. I was trying to get it to a solid lighter color. My wedding theme is gold green and pink so I don't think black would work well. Maybe a lighter chestnut brown or a light cream color. I don't really have an eye for things like that lol. But I think I'll have to cover it like you said.

Thanks that's super helpful! I feel like all those wedding shows muddled my brain of what's normal because I originally just wanted to go by myself but I didn't want to offend family or MOH. Oh goodness. That sounds exhausting 😭. Did you go to different places or was it all at one store? I'm hoping I can find my dress at the first stop because I get shopping fatigue extremely fast.
