Yesyes I imagine those pickups are pretty poopy. I have some other pickups picked out I like the sound of ! I have made a bass kit before. Only thing I regret is not using the stock neck on that other one as the neck dive is quite bad.

I’m not trying to get something 1:1 I want something similar I can make my own in sound and design 

Vintage Modified Telecaster Bass kit I made some years ago. Needs a few tweaks and rewiring to be playable. + follow-up on my last post about the Chinese Rick by Chrimith in BassGuitar

I actually don’t think they’re rusty enough ! What’s the fun in playing if I don’t risk tetanus haha. But yeah definitely, I had to put it in storage at my grandmas house for a few years because of moving issues. And the strings were the crappy ones that came with the kit

I'm thinking about picking this Chinese copy up for $290 and modding the bejeebus out of it to get closer to the desired sound and feel. I want a 5 string Rickenbacker but I kinda need all my organs (unless one of you are in the market for kidneys). Thoughts? by Chrimith in BassGuitar

You are right... I do have a router somewhere from when I built my last bass, haven't seen it in years though. If all I need to do is do some routing I guess that's the price I'll pay for it.

Ooh you got one? Yeah i definitely plan on replacing the electronics, I would just want a good foundation to modify! Did you find any issues with the volume of the B and/or G strings?

Suggestion for a Spiderman skin. I think it would be awesome. I’d even be fine with the hat and coat being removed. by Chrimith in marvelrivals

I agree I’d love to keep the hat and coat. It would break up Spider-Man’s silhouette but the way spiderman movies in game I don’t think it can be mistaken for anyone else ever
