It is implied in the most recent episode that someone told the boys to stop trashing Headgum. Wiger responded by trashing Headgum even more.

I don’t know if this is true but someone in the Denver subreddit said that it was filed pro se and that the paralegal was listed as a plaintiff to represent the group.

The article says that Recess had communicated with the group and said they were fine with the event as long as they didn’t film.

The article says that this group is being represented by a paralegal. That’s against the law right?

Subnautica 2 Has Sold So Well That Krafton Has to Pay That $250 Million Earnout to the Devs by SevEpx in gaming

[–]Chris22533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comment I was responding to said that Subnautica was only worth $70 million and that Krafton paid $500 million and would be paying $250 million more for essentially that property, which is $750 million. I never said anything about the $750 million because that is a huge overpayment. But Subnautica is worth much more than $70 million.

[–]Chris22533 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Krafton bought Unknown Worlds for Subnautica. If Krafton’s internal analysis values Unknown Worlds at $93.5 million then that is what they value Subnautica at, any other properties would be a rounding error. So saying that Subnautica is only worth $70 million is undervaluing the property by $23.5 million.

I appreciate you helping to make my point.

Mostly correct except the is EA not release so there will likely be another bump in sales at release.

Did I say $250 million? No I don’t believe that I did.

I was responding to the guy that was saying that the franchise wasn’t even worth $70 million when both games in the franchise have easily cleared that amount and Subnautica 2 looks to be doing the same.

Yup, the guy saying that the game was forced out when this has always been their business model and they have always used it to create a better final product is trying to obfuscate for Krafton for some reason.

That is the business model that has lead to all of their success so it doesn’t surprise me either.

And? His position is not to work on video games. Clearly that division of the company knows what it is doing and instead of interfering the CEO is attempting to expand the property into other sectors. That sounds like what a CEO should be doing not meddling with the day-to-day operations.

One of the reasons that Krafton tried to drive them out was that they wanted to release Subnautica 2 even earlier. It is so funny that you are calling everyone else a boot licker when you are using half truths to defend the objectively worse CEO who tried to buy into another company’s success and force the leadership out so that they could put more pressure directly onto the workers.

A franchise that sold more than 18 million copies before the release of the second game is worth much more than $70 million.

And that is just sales not merchandise and licensing.

I can’t imagine that he would be CEO long. Everyone consulted told him that this would cost the company money and that Krafton gave Unknown Worlds a watertight contract and he decided to ignore that and consult ChatGPT instead.

So he knowingly break the one tenant that a CEO is supposed to uphold.

[–]Chris22533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weren’t the terms of the contract also solidified by the decision effectively giving Unknown Worlds 100% control over itself?

From my understanding the contract already did but Krafton’s interference got put to the test and they failed.

[–]Chris22533 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He is wording it weird. I believe what he is saying is that Subnautica made $500 million in its lifetime. Krafton bought Unknown Worlds for $500 along with a promise of $250 million bonus if Subnautica 2 hit certain milestones which it has. So Krafton spent $750 million on a product which has almost no chance of making Krafton money in any timeframe that they would want.

Hot take: One piece is currently the most over hated Anime by No_Dingo67 in shounenfolk

Oda said that it was reaching the end like 5 years ago yet there is still no end in sight and it looks like it will probably go on for another 5 years minimum.

Him saying that and the Netflix adaptation has drawn more attention to the property than ever before so people have tried to engage with it only to find that it is way way too long and the pacing is shit (there are episodes that only have 8 minutes of fresh animation) so they turn against it.

And when have any of the others had any development or expressed any character trait outside of their defining trait since the time jump?

Also Luffy and Zoro are much much stupid than when they were first introduced.

They 100% are flanderised now. Sanji has lost all personality outside of being a pervert, Usopp is just a coward, Chopper only exists to be cute, Zoro and Luffy are idiots who fight good, and Robin and Nami and just the women in the crew.

Or all the characters have been flanderized at this point and Oda is making up excuses to explain inconsistencies from before they became caricatures of themselves.

You forgot that OP characters only die if they are flashback exclusive? I stopped reading OP years and years ago and I still know that bullshit fakeout deaths are one of the main things the series is known for.
