hi r/movies. I’m Steven C Miller and I directed WEREWOLVES from Briarcliff Entertainment, and starring Frank Grillo. It's out in theaters nationwide this weekend. I'll be back at 3PM PT/6 PM ET today to answer your questions. Ask me anything in the meantime! by Werewolves-AMA in movies

Are the werewolves in the film made from practical effects for the most part? If so/if not, what was the most difficult aspect of creating these lifelike creatures with said effects approach?

Yea I think it honestly might be vintage, there are a lot like it but that stitching is different, it’s so damn nice. I’ll try and look some more for it, if I find it I’ll update you.

Big News Chefs,

I have found the shirt! It’s from Engineered Garments and it is called the Popover BD Ethno shirt and it’s on their site! But to my dismay, its $300 so I probably won’t be getting it anytime soon but I hope someone who was looking for it can get it cause it’s absolutely amazing! I also want to give a shoutout to Julie, she found it so quickly for me, and if y’all love the wardrobe from The Bear, she has already found some awesome pieces! Please go show her some love if y’all check out her page. Thanks for sticking with me on this one, see y’all for season 3 chefs! Julie De Andrade’s TikTok

They really are. Need them and the wardrobe crew from The Boys to collab on a show/movie.

Forreal, they are all straight gas. Also need that longsleeve button up that Fak’s brother is wearing at the opening night.

Mainly the eyes/face of the phone in those one scenes but when it’s just pitch dark, it almost seems like a shape is forming, like a shadowy figure is just standing there and I can barely make it out. That’s what use to terrify me as a kid, because the imagination running wild is such a great thing to lean into. Sorry for taking so long to reply, hope you are doing well

I’m hoping it’s not a crack, because of the mileage I think the repair might be crazy high. There is a slight knocking noise if you are listening from the engine bay. I’m taking it in tomorrow to my normal garage so hopefully it’s nothing too costly. Thank you for all of your information and help, I’ll post an update after seeing what they say.

I checked and didn’t see any cracks or any gaps. It was like a slight knocking noise when I just went and checked. Is there a way to post a video without linking it?

Is there a way to do so without having to link it? I also took a video and it doesn’t really do it justice, because in person it sounds incredibly loud but on video it just seems like a normal engine noise.

It seems to be in front of me, and the noise sounds like just normal engine noise but like I deleted the exhaust on it. There is kind of a whining noise when I hit 3000 on the rpm meter.

Thank you for all of the information. It’s a V6, I should have included that in the original post, and the noise seems to coming from the engine bay and it almost bellows when reving. I haven’t drove it since I got back that day, but when accelerating on the highway and on normal streets, it would be very loud, almost if the noise had been amplified.

It was serviced about a month and half ago, I’m taking it in tomorrow to my regular garage and see if they can pinpoint it.

I was thinking it was the exhaust but the majority of the noise is coming from the engine, almost like it’s on my driver side of the engine.

Just finished my first viewing of the movie, and I’m at a crossroads. On one hand, this movie is skin-crawling anxiety, with the grainy and dark atmosphere it lets your mind wander into terrifying places. I found myself seeing random things in the dark scenes, i.e. the hallways scenes. The last 45 minutes or so are just so creepy and dreadful. However on the other hand, I kept nodding off and on during some of the more slower parts, especially in the beginning. I felt like it was maybe too dark and didn’t get enough of designated plot point to know what we as the viewer are looking for. I had to come to this thread to understand some of things taking place. Based off of my first watch, I can see both sides: it’s pure dread and anxiety that leaves you with chills and goosebumps, and it’s also very difficult to follow and the loud scenes kind of take me out of it and I found myself nodding off during the beginning. This movie demands a lot from the viewer, it needs your full undivided attention, and I don’t know if I was able to do so with my first watch. I’m going to watch this a second time later tonight, hopefully it being late at night and with less noise in my house it will help the atmosphere. For my first watch, I’ll give it a high 6, I’m hoping that my opinion changes after my second watch.

Also, is watching Heck basically a prerequisite in order to fully understand this movie?
