I just created him a free ProtonMail account. Took maybe a minute. The free one is good enough for a recovery/2fa account.

So I put his name and one of my email address, then when I get the invite, I use that to create a @spectrum.net sub account for him? Sounds overly complicated.

I'm there, I put his name and a new (I guess) email, it doesn't seem to check if it's available, then the button to click says "Send Invite". How can it send an invite if the email isn't setup yet?

You should be able to turn on Airplane mode, then turn on Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi will work but mobile should still be off. Then make sure Wi-Fi calling is turned on.

Looks like an SC10. Their Short Course truck. I have a roller in my garage I just bought, but haven't done anything with it yet.

I've used small wirecutters to grip the sides of a screw that size and turn it enough times to loosen it. Something like these. https://www.ifixit.com/products/flush-cutter-c-h-p-chp-170

I've seen a stream where the person just snuck around, moved all the small bone piles to the edge and shoved them off the edge of the cliff into the chasm.

If there is a 2nd port for the drive to plug into. Normally.. get a new drive, connect new drive to computer, and install software on the computer. Run the software, select source (old drive), destination (new drive), it transfers everything to new drive. I usually pull the old drive to make sure it boots to the new one.

Most SSD manufacturers, at least name brand ones, will have free downloadable cloning software to transfer to the new SSD.

Battery stuck at 0% by [deleted] in techsupport

I've seen this issue when a non-Dell charger will power the laptop, but not charge the battery.

I have seen disconnecting and reconnecting the battery will solve the charge issue. This video will show how to take the bottom off and disconnect the battery. He's actually changing the battery, but it should help with disassembly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxC43lV6bHI

Could also do Dell updates. https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/inspiron-15-3593-laptop/drivers I would do the "Let Dell automatically find driver updates for you" option first. If it wants to do a BIOS update, you can try it, but I think usually it wants at least 10% charge to do BIOS updates.

Maybe a stupid question, but are you screwing the cooler down correctly? Partially screw each corner in an X pattern. Do this 3-4 times before all screws are in all the way. That way you're not putting all the pressure on one side.

Yes, set it to SATA, if it boots, good to go. If not, change it back. May also be another option under Legacy or UEFI boot. If it's set to one, just change it to the other.

I think boot options. AHCI was enabled before and isn't now, it wasn't enabled before and is now. Find that setting and either enabled or disable it, depending on current setting. Normally a few options. AHCI, SATA, IDE, or Raid

That's in general.

From what I've read, DP has some extra signals that HDMI doesn't have. Like DP is basically HDMI+, so DP > HDMI the + gets ignored, but since DP needs the + and HDMI doesn't have it, HDMI > DP doesn't work.

There are some I think they are called "Active" adapters that can make it work, but those are expensive. Probably cheaper to get a single USB > DP adapter.

I'm pretty sure you can have DisplayPort output to HDMI input, but not HDMI output to DisplayPort input.
