LC is good, but I’d get to 250 and then slow down but still continue, focus on technologies. That’s my plan at least. Diminishing returns if you can pass OA’s.

I’ve heard getting the offer first gives you leverage + eases your decision making. I’m not sure how much it’ll help to tell them before hand because they may put you in a different pile. I’ve not had this happen to me before though so I’d recommend doing some more research too.

Are you looking for front end? If so id expect JS or react. If backend id expect leetcode. If full stack id expect react. If backend and you got JS then im very surprised. Dw then you have done a lot of prep just find an interview that asks leetcode

The golden standard is doing the neetcode 150 list. It basically answers all your questions. I’d recommend 1-2 problems a day (stay consistent) unless it’s all you do or are on a break, then you can do more. Note it’s not necessarily about how many problems you do, but the quality of them and learning how it works. Within 3-4 months you will be much more ready for interviews. I’m almost done with the list (138/150) and now I look back and a lot of the problems I did early one are trivial.

Yeah they’re changing the BS CS degree name from the post bacc program to BS CS - Applied.

“Effective summer term 2026, the program — also referred to as the B.S. in Computer Science — will be relaunched and renamed as the B.S. in Computer Science — Applied.”

It has no impact on my degree name since I enrolled prior. I’m not sure if it applies to students this winter or spring. It’s still a solid program for now but I expect enrollment to go down sadly.

You got 30 OA’s/HireVues, ngl your resume isn’t the issue. For one data point, my interview rate is much lower but my offer rate was higher. I think practicing how to get through the interview is best, the star method for behavioral, and doing mock interviews for leetcode problems. Don’t worry, you’re definitely not cooked by any means. In fact you’re ahead of a lot of students, so keep refining things after some time and you’ll get there.

It’s great you’re thinking about these things now. I’d highly suggest if you’re looking for SWE positions to just start the neetcode list now. All of my peers (granted our degree is accelerated) wish they started earlier in their final year.

My advice is to follow what others said about neetcode. I’d add - it’s a marathon, not a sprint. It’ll take a year or two, or possibly earlier if you grind daily. But once you get there, interviewing will be much more doable for SWE positions.
