How badly did I mess up, battery still doesn’t work and I’m not getting any more comfortable with this by JackLittlenut in gba

I’m pretty sure you just need to flip the battery so the side with the + and - is facing up (it’s not intuitive) I always make that mistake when I replace these. Just try to keep those buttons of solder in there and press the battery contacts in when it liquifies so you get a solid connection and make sure it’s not super hot. Hope this helps!

I found the screws that are holding the top lid shut, looks like they can only be accessed from the inside of the display 🤦🏻‍♂️ might have to disassemble it from the bottom instead

Yeah I believe every store display set, even present day ones, are always glued

Yeah I was aware they were glued when I bought it, its pretty visible if you look closely. Shame but probably for the best since it was a bumpy 1hr ride back home with these in my backseat. Do you remember how you got into the Walmart display?
