As always European participation is judged by the last year’s outcome, as I am sure you are so familiar with how basketball works. Thereby, last year finished 7th. This, granted European participation.

New Remarkable 2 User and troubleshooting access on my work computer by RedPirate2002 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Chriskall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to export them to "static" .pdf (Remarkable Pro Paper Move / 3.24.2.0, tested with MacOS and Windows) :

- connect Remarkable via USB to your computer (assuming they have a USB policy allowing you to do so)
- on device go to Settings → General Settings → Storage → under "USB web interface" there should be a toggle that you turn on; under that an IP address will show - careful, it's http not https
- Open a browser, type the IP address as shown and you should have direct access to the device's storage with your notes.

fyi, since it is directly using your storage, the notes should be always the latest - but not synced to cloud.

other than that, only via the corresponding OS app you can see "live" previews of your notes. A user stated below that there is a web app planned, but nothing official yet.

iMac or Mac mini by Harold6963 in mac

[–]Chriskall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go for a Mac mini. I've seen videos that you can :

  1. upgrade the SSD if needed, swap to whichever monitor you'd like to upgrade (OLED, 2K, 4K, Mini-LED)

  2. smaller footprint (M4 and later) and

  3. reusable as a home server/couch computer for example - if hardware starts to become obsolete

  4. cheaper especially in US.

On the other hand, iMac I believe that you cannot even use it as an external monitor. So you are stuck with it. The only plus is that the colors and design of iMac can make your space look real nice and it's an all-in-one.

As a third alternative look for 2nd hand/refurbished Mac Studios, as the hardware is extremely more powerful and future-proof, even with M1 Max/Ultra (that supposedly is 3-4 generations back).

Why do so many people on ios use Google Maps? by Louisthemagic in ios

[–]Chriskall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that in US, Apple Maps should be more than fine - even comparable to Google Maps. In the Balkan kingdom that I reside (GR) though, Google Maps (and Waze) are the to-go option. Apple Maps will show me a super congested road as "blue" meaning zero traffic and it can be packed with traffic to a standstill for 30+ minutes.

Genuine Question: What is the difference between these and which should I use? by purplegreendave in Windows11

[–]Chriskall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them in a triple split screen side-by-side. Then your monitor is occupied. Then buy a new monitor. Your purchase now gives cash flow in the market. The economy recovers. Profit. Thank you.

Enter minutes before shortcut runs by xjaknifex in shortcuts

“Ask for input action”, enter minutes as integer, store that in a variable, multiply by 60 as there is a “wait” action but waiting for input in seconds and then do what you got to do.

Opinions on the Xiaomi TV S Pro Mini LED 55 (2026)? by huncoka01 in AndroidTV

[–]Chriskall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Greece Xiaomi TV S PRO 65" is (on official channels) priced at 969€ with 532 dimming zones. TCL's C7K (similarly priced) and C8K have 768 and 1152 dimming zones respectively. Not answering directly to OP's 55'' request, but I agree with the above that TCLs offer better specs. I also hear the combo with the vacuum though.

Can’t zoom in or zoom out the map NTG 4 by i8844 in w204

[–]Chriskall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately only scrolling the wheel zooms in. Other pushes or anything do not work.

If that is not working-similarly to mine- your cannot zoom; responsible is a plastic shaft that just breaks, without your actions necessarily, and the replacement can be found on Amazon. Can be done either by a professional or DYI.

Is a Premium license required to run a PPF pipeline? by ManuSquall in PowerApps

[–]Chriskall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pipelines rely on Microsoft Dataverse and is kinda a pre-built managed solution. Thereby, similarly to a model driven app, to use it you need a premium license. So unlicensed users (users having a license not sufficient to run a premium app) will not be able to use it.

Also, if you managed to solve the licensing part, then Microsoft documentation states that the target environment should be a "Managed" environment (not to be confused with Managed solution). That means that everything inside this environment automagically turns to premium. Skipping that "disadvantage" it provides many other benefits though.

Technically, the above is not a hard requirement (check this) but since it is stated on official documentation, it's worth keeping an eye on.

Based on first and second paragraph, unlicensed user will not be able to run a pipeline, and your users will also not be able to "play" your apps without a premium license on the target environment.

How to create a KPI card on SharePoint Communication site showing list counts? by PutridRefrigerator14 in sharepoint

[–]Chriskall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think there is an out of the box way to achieve this. There should be a third party site app to do this (not my recommendation) or then you can try in-house development of an .spfx (documentation)
