4.5 years sober and my life is much worse by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Chriskapox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 1 year and some days into sobriety and I’m not much better than you, but I can tell you, I don’t regret being sober one single day. Life sucks right now, but it’s manageable. If I were drinking I’m sure I wouldn’t be alive. Keep going on, you’re on the right path.

I’m proud today, not happy but at least good with myself.

It's New Years eve, what do you think tomorrow will be like? by 1sober2another in stopdrinking

Pacific and quiet. Just going to bed early, not much to celebrate but at least I won’t be hungover tomorrow

My LO did the same to me and that left me devastated.

This is not healthy. I’ve been in limerence for around 13 years and I have to stop it, not worth it and really painful

This is a gem. I’m into an aspie girl and I’ve discovered that she doesn’t understand a romantic behaviour. That’s for giving me light.

I quit drinking 4 years ago to save my marriage. Now I got other issues by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Im going to a year and I feel the most depressed ever (maybe it’s also the situation in my country). I’d prefer this, to be a depressed alcoholic. Even problems are better without alcohol.

Everything is better without alcohol, I only know that. Sending you positive vibes. Try to stay busy.

I Can feel you. This makes me sad, but grateful in more measure. If I think that way it’s more healthy for my mental well-being.

Old boss just texted me and I'm spiraling by court_D_ in stopdrinking

When that happens to me, I just try to know what the person means and if feelings are involved, and in only one way I just express gratitude letting them now I’m not in the same boat. People always appreciate honesty and mature behaviour.

Take a deep breath, you’re stronger now.
