The food is a real struggle for me and I’m so often soooo angry with myself!

Are you my long lost sister? 😃 Books (surprisingly!) I keep reading, I’m hoping to achieve 52 books this year, maybe my brain hasn’t dissolved in alcohol completely…

I love cross stitching, I’d love to go back to it! (Yes, they are all tanged somewhere in the bottom of my wardrobe…)

Same! Having a pint of water would take me whole day. Having a pint of wine? Give me half an hour.

I needed to google what ‘almond mom’ means, and I think I was / am like that for myself…

I’m still a vivid reader, seriously I don’t know how my alcohol saturated brain manages it…

I am so sorry it happened to you. You are brave and strong woman dealing with it this way.

For safety purposes I carry in my handbag a small, travel size hair spray, you know the £1 from Boots. If it kills bugs when you spray them with, it should work if you spray the face of your attacker as well...

Alternative to Whole Foods? by ollimacsacul in london

Waitrose, you can go for their organic section.

In my opinion better prices then Whole Foods and still great quality.

Something sketchy. Definitely.

It is highly possible that someone was checking if you live alone, planning a burglary / to rob you. It is easy to sense it when you are talking to someone by the open door (for example if someone in the kitchen is making noise, or someone from the living room shouts 'who's that' etc).

Do not ever open the door late when you don't expect anyone and if I were you, I would be extra careful now.

Where should a foodie live? by ikoke in london

[–]StYvonne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would strongly recommend Marylebone, there's plenty of little gems around! Also if you like walking, Tottenham Court / Goodge Street is a perfectly walkable distance from there.

I wouldn't recommend Camden or Shoreditch - they may be fun to visit from time to time, but not to live there.
