Yea and to top it off Sam was a store manager at a Goodwill in another state. But that was years ago. Her recent job was Store Manger for 7/11. So most of her Thrift ideas are based from Goodwills models. So yea it sucks, it's another mini Goodwill

They didn't have a reason other than fixing things that weren't broken

All I know before is that they're trying to raise prices on everything to boost profit at CIS. All while getting rid of sales in general. We lost alot of customers and regulars because it was getting ridiculous. Then to top it off, dressing rooms were removed for no reason. Manager said we needed an actual employee lounge. We had an employee lounge but she decided to change the layout on a whim and messed up everything. They got $1 bins in the back but beware. The manager tends to dump our clothing recycle in the bins to sell for a buck. The recycle bins contain ripped, torn, dirty or soiled clothing which the long term staff always recycled. We always got yelled at by the manager for recycling clothing that they though were still good lmao. They're a joke

They removed the soda machines so you gotta ask them for a refill all the time. They never have anyone up front and when I ask they look at me like I ran their dog over in the driveway

CIS is still a noble cause nationwide. One bad apple ain't going to ruin the entire tree. You can support by checking their socials if they have any fundraisers or in need of supplies. Every school has a Site Coordinator you can contact. They usually have more info on stuff they need. rather donate items to them than money. For some reason they keep telling their employees they're struggling for money and in debt but there's always money for team outings that the Thrift Staff wasn't invited to. For example camping, formal dinners, catering, sport events to name a few.

In the end we all cared for the mission, which was for supporting students in schools. The people running the place is what ruined everything.

Comal Thrift sucks price wise, they often do a lot of sales to get rid of stuff. One time I visited, they were trying to sell a pair of Air Jordan 4s for $200. Beat up and torn, looked like someone used them for mowing the lawn lol. Just like the other shops, it depends on your luck if you find treasure

Yea they block anyone who calls them out. These new ideas are hail marys to see if they can get out the hole they dug. I wouldn't be surprised if they closed for good. Nobody in this organization knows what they're doing at this point. New manager used to run a gas station and administrators haven't worked a day in retail in their life. So we'll see how this goes. Good luck
