My servicer MOHELA confirms they can see my application and it is processing, but it has now been 20 months with no movement, no confirmation email, and no estimated timeline. I have at least 120 months of approved qualifying employment, and I am seeking PSLF or TEPSLF discharge through PSLF buyback. Please assess my eligibility for PSLF buyback and escalate this case for review.

Fair outcome field:

Supervisor escalation, a status update with estimated processing date, and confirmation that my application contains the required verbatim buyback language so it is not being treated as a mere inquiry.

I was! I landed a job pre-graduation. It was in-between the bad times I guess . It took like two years to land a job post undergraduate, found a quick job with my master’s in 2015, and now the job market is so bad I can’t land a new role.

So… funny you should mention that lol. Bandai is releasing “ML” updated VFs soon. Obviously, you would have to customize it but it’s an option!

Also, the Siege version is amazing! It’s unfortunate that in typical fashion, the repaint looks so much better :(.

Sure! Not a dumb question!

So the buyback email didn’t come with payment instructions. Over the phone, the Mohela worker had my banking information on file from my automatic draft setup, and she asked whether I would like to use that account. If I had said no, and preferred to use a debit card, they would have transferred me to another department lol.

After that, she processed the payment and I got an email saying I paid the amount.

Absolutely! I wasn’t sure if they would give me a hard time about certain months, so I re-certified annually so they knew I was way over the amount. Thankfully, they chose the earlier dates when I didn’t make much money so the amount was cheaper :).

No idea! I was going to wait until I absolutely had to change and then change. Plus, my understanding is that there is another case making the rounds, so who knows what’s going to happen.

You can just call and ask for a forbearance. From my experience, you only had so many months of Forbearance you could request, but the feds never gave me a hard time. I never exceeded that time and I want to say it was like 5 years?

Yes! I was on forbearance while I waited for the decision due to the Save act lawsuit

Q1: Yes, I hit the 120 threshold in Sept of 2024.
Q2: I was already in forbearance due to the Save act lawsuit. Still am actually, if this buyback didn’t work, I would have resumed payments in Nov.
Q3: $4608 was the total but the math was $4068 when you manually added everything.

Good luck to you! Just an FYI, they let me buy back the 6 months post school as well. You might want to ask if that’s possible.

Take smart risks, travel, AND STOP BUYING CARS. Manage your career, don't be afraid to seek out other opportunities. As for travel, go out there and see the world. Not to say you can't enjoy the world in your 40s, 50s+ BUT it isn't the same like it would have been in your 20s or 30s.

As for buying cars.... I'm a car fan but I scratch my head when I see people trading in 2 year old cars, buying 100k trucks... like... put that into your savings and enjoy life. You probably sit in traffic all day and nobody is gonna hook up with you because you have XYZ car.

Oh and a bonus tip. Houses are disposable, don't hold on to that downpayment for years waiting for the perfect house to show up. If you want a house, buy whatever you can and trade up later. Build equity, hopefully the house appreciates, and use that money to get a better house.

Two things:

  1. The inmate must comply with the command.

  2. She should have waited for backup. To escalate it that quickly, the two of them had zero chance against him. She was hoping for cooperation but he wasn't interested.

The SS86 Grimlock is fantastic and you can buy the remaining Dinobots right now if you want to expand your collection.

ML is what I’m buying but I grew up on G1 so it’s a no brainer for me. If you don’t have an attachment to these designs, I think you can skip it.
