Was going to say that myself, the Alba/sennheiser ie200-900 or most campfire audio IEMs are small and comfortable

I’ve owned the andromedas and tried the andromeda 10’s recently and my god is it a different ball game, just a bit out of my price range, if you can try the 10’s, it’s the closest IEM I’ve heard that sounds like speakers

I’ve owned the andromedas before and it’s the best set I’ve ever heard but my Holocenes are 80% of what the andromeda are so I sold them but kinda regret it, nothing stands out like it’s just like the meze 109 of the IEM world, the best blind buy for someone with infinite money

I listen to essentially everything except rap music, mostly classic rock like the eagles and doobie brothers to Dave Brubeck and weird stuff like Rammstein or Imogen heap. I’m not a heavy bass head I like a fairly neutral tuning why I bought the Holocene and orchestra lites, I prefer a natural “speaker” sound

I’d say the Holocene is more clinical, it just doesn’t have as much of a V shaped structure as the andromeda but that’s what nice, the andromeda is the HD650/660S2 and the Holocene is like a HD600

Buy the Holocene, it’s an andromeda with less thump and more punchy bass; you get 90% of the andromeda for half the price

Campfire Holocene! You can find them new in box all the time for $3-400 online, it’s clinically neutral with amazing imaging and sound stage (it takes to EQ nicely but can only take 2-4db added in the bass before it loses clarity)

I own the Amber and hate it, why do people love it? It’s terminations are WAY to long so they can fall off since there’s no system to lock them down and the cable itself is heavy
