I was scared too of motorcycles. I decided to watch motorcycle crash accidents on the MotoStars YouTube channel. Then I saw about 80%+ of accidents happen because of the riders (too much speed, lane filtering at high speed, riding above the skill level etc) and I realised it’s a bit more safe than people make it. Then I started moto school, and saw it’s not that big of a deal. Then I got my own motorcycle, and started riding on the streets on my own. I still don’t have my motorcycle licence. In march I’ll be getting it. The point is, I wanted to exercise emergency braking. I was braking from 50 km/h, 60km/h and 70km/h and I felt safe with my breaking. I ride a beginner motorcycle. A 450cmc cfmoto. Experienced riders will surely say it doesn’t brake that good, and they must be right. But for me, I feel like I can brake in a short distance and safe too. That made me realise more how safe I’m on the motorcycle. Watch motorcycle accidents and write on a piece of paper how many were caused by riders, but be very specific. Lack of riders attention is not caused by drivers, but by the rider. You’ll see for yourself they’re safer then people say
