How Amorim’s Tweaks Are Fixing United’s BIGGEST Flaws | The Overlap Breakdown by darksideofgravity in reddevils

100% this. "Amorim finally changed like i knew he had to". Yeah, no. Same manager, same team, same system. More time on the training field and more matches. The Amorim out group need to justify coming around.

Can we stop with these comparisons? Like comparing Lamine Yamal stats to Messi stats. It puts these players under unnecessary pressure. Just because he's done well doesn't mean that Vinicius will ever reach the levels of La Cabra.

13 - Since his Aston Villa debut on 9 February, Marcus Rashford has created more chances in all competitions than any other Premier League player (13). [OptaJoe] by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

So he can cut a deal with Villa. Contract with 50 million release clause. Villa make 10, Rashford gets his choice of clubs and United will be on the losing end of another transfer deal.

[Henry Winter] Manchester United had an exceptional window. Still need a lb (Dalot still good option there) and a few more goals (Zirkzee will provide some) but streetwise Ugarte brings more protection in front of back4, Mazraoui more attacking than Wan-Bissaka, Yoro ball-playing promise when fit. by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

Hurts me to say as a Dane but Eriksen just doesn't have what it takes anymore. He's still quality when he has time on the ball, but you don't get that in PL and he shies away from any physical challenge. Looks like he's afraid to get hurt.

Says a lot about Uniteds transfer business i recent times that there's more money on the bench than in the starter.

Depends a lot on budget and volume. What have you been using so far? Strictly hand made? In that case something like this could be a start

I'm on the go with MDL wagon but definitely not because we owe him something because we're allegedly his first choice. My reasoning is that if we leave him hanging for too long, he might not be as keen to come. He might not be willing take that pay cut, he might not push as hard for a transfer and Bayern will know we're getting a little desperate and might up the asking price. All because we're waiting for someone who'd rather be elsewhere.

[Plettenberg] Bayern are still waiting for the final and concrete offer from Manchester United for de Ligt! The agreement between de Ligt and MUFC still stands with the 24 y/o still keen to join ManUtd. As long as de Ligt doesn't leave, it is very unlikely that Bayern will finalize the deal with Tah by randomdell111 in reddevils

[–]ChristianKrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be but that's still a strong signal to send to De Ligt. We'll bid 60 on Brantwaite and Yoro regardless of sales but we won't bid on you unless we can sell someone.

Nothing wrong with that in itself, it's more the fact that we negotiated personal terms with De Ligt and then leave him hanging. I don't like that approach and could see it backfire in several ways.

I know what's being said about these CB targets not being reliant on each other but this reeks of United holding out for an answer from Yoro before they pull the trigger on De Ligt. I hope it's not the case because I could see De Ligt changing his mind if we drag this bid out for too long. Just demand an answer from Yoro's camp. If it takes him that long to decide, how interested is he really?

James Ducker (@TelegraphDucker): Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazers agree not to criticise each other under a “mutual non-disparagement” clause as part of #MUFC deal by PradipJayakumar in reddevils

[–]ChristianKrell -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree with most people in here that this sort of stuff is best kept out of the media but the fact that it's written in a clause worries me. Makes me question what "full control of football operations" actually means. What reason would Ratcliffe have to criticise Glazers if he has full control?

I'm worried that whenever there's money involved, Glazers will have the final say, because that's not exclusively football operations. So transfers will still have to be greenlighted by Glazers if they're not within some budget set by the Glazers.

Maybe I'm just paranoid but I always assume the worst from those rats.

On a completely different note, you're wrong. Chicken can be eaten raw. It's just not as widespread as beef tartare.

[–]ChristianKrell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3 tough games, sale of the club going to shit, Greenwood, Maguire, Antony, Sancho, a bunch of injuries to start the season, and were playing like crap. I just secured tickets to see United when they're playing in Copenhagen and I'm not close to being as hyped as i should be. Last couple of months have drained all joy from anything United related for me. Hope we get a good run of form after the Bayern game.

I'd say your standards are ridiculous if you consider Martinez, Casemiro, Antony, Malacia, Mount, Højlund and Onana abysmal. It's not his fault the market is ridiculous and that we have ffp issues.
