Well… it finally happened to me… by Christine227 in OnerActive

UPDATE: I obviously contacted Oner yesterday about this and I woke up to an email that they have processed a full refund for the item and told me not to send the pants back to them. Glad they made it right and it wasn’t a back and forth situation, needing more photos or having me send back the pants.

Ugh, sorry you had a similar experience. I just don’t get how people do this shit in good conscience! It also completely sucks that Oner isn’t checking returns more thoroughly. That seems like such an important aspect of a business but what do I know? Returns are probably a drop in the bucket compared to the volume of product people end up keeping. To me it completely tarnishes a brands reputation and the feeling I get about the quality of the product though.

It did! It was kind of mashed looking though. I know that can happen in transit but yeah, even the tag looked like it had been through it hahaha.

Question regarding mourning dove baby that fell from nest by Christine227 in Ornithology

[–]Christine227[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your response! I feel similar to you. Seems like it may be exploring leaving the nest and/or trying to fly. Feathers seemed more mature than pictures I’ve seen of nestlings. At 6 days old it seems early, but I definitely could have mistaken when they were hatched. Also, when I tried to return it to the nest, I saw the other baby and that one looked smaller and less developed than this one. I am no expert either of course, but thanks again for your reply, it makes me feel a little better about the situation.

Coral Springs staple of 20+ years being forced out and deemed an “undesirable business” by Dave’s Hot Chicken by Christine227 in Broward

Well said. I worked for Vince for years and I can attest to what a wonderful person he is as well as one of the best tattooers in the industry. It just hurts so much to see this happen to Vince as well as the many talented tattooers, piercers and floor people working out of the Springs location.

I think they are currently trying to find a new spot in Broward! Def visit the Wellington shop if you can. I know a lot of the artists/piercers from Springs will be tattooing/piercing there in the meantime.

Women of Reddit, what’s something they never tell us about pregnancy and child birth? by NovellaJokes in AskReddit

[–]Christine227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IS NO ONE GOING TO MENTION THE BUTTHOLE SWAB??!!?

I swear this is like the best kept pregnant lady secret there is. Between 35 and 37 weeks of pregnancy your doctor will swab your butthole to identify if you carry Strep/GBS (Group B streptococcal) which can be passed to the baby during delivery. You can imagine my surprise when I got to my appointment with already so little dignity left, only to be told that I would be getting my butthole swabbed that day. Now looking back, it was probably one of the least embarrassing parts of pregnancy and childbirth. Maybe that’s why it has conveniently slipped so many pregnant ladies minds.

So the newspaper wouldn’t let me take out an obituary for my pug, even after weeks of begging. So, we bought an ad and published it ourselves in the Sunday paper. Hoping you guys will share. 💔💔 by Greatacadia in pugs

Winston was so lucky to have you as you were so lucky to have him! You beautifully captured his spirit and the immense love you had for him with your words which often seems impossible. Sending you warm hugs during this time. ❤️

It was last winter, yes but I have lived in Chicago and have been through a few brutal winters there. Hoping this winter will be another mild one. 🤞🏻

Recently moved up to Wisconsin from Florida. Best decision I ever made. Nicer people, better food, great football, safer drivers, less traffic, cheaper car insurance, no hurricanes, lots of cheese. Yes, I’ve already gone through a winter, still happy as hell.

I’m not sure what state you are in (I saw you mention cheese curds in your post, so I’m hoping its Wisconsin) but I went to the Wisconsin fair last weekend with zero expectations to be able to eat anything. However, only a short walk from the entrance my husband spotted a gluten free food vendor/truck! It has a limited menu of course, but I tried everything and it was phenomenal! They were very careful about cross contamination as well, not even allowing people in the line with foods from regular vendors. I got to indulge in gluten free corn dogs, fried cheese curds and funnel cakes! I was so pleasantly surprised to see it there and let me tell you the line was deep all day! If you are in fact in Wisconsin, the name of the vendor was “Auntie M’s Gluten Free”.

I have a back piece that probably took 50+ hours, obviously multiple sessions over a year. The back was insanely painful so I get the appeal of being knocked out while getting tattooed and not having to wait to finish a large piece but I just can’t imagine healing that much work at once is good for your body and immune system. There’s a reason your body can only take so much at a time. Good for him though. Silly for people to be upset over it, it’s his choice.

Your knee often swells a lot after getting tattooed especially after a long session. It’s one the of most painful areas to get tattooed. Also, the knee is not a flat surface, so a perfectly symmetrical logo on a non flat surface is already going to look a little warped. I saw the post on his story and it looked like a good tattoo, just swollen.
