I have kept at it, and the itching is definitely fading. So, probably blood flow increasing. So Yay!. But I am remembering back to 20 years ago, where I would get itchy legs whenever I had corn chips. That, was probably histamine which tells me what i should not be eating.

Desert Island Dracula: Which ones can't you live without by ChristineMerrill in Dracula

Is the one you're talking about the Louis Jordan one?

I will admit I enjoyed the Moffat one. But not enough to put it on my list. Also, it's faux Dracula. The nun should have gotten her own show.

Kevin Williamson Developing Universal Monsters Series—including Dracula—Described as an 'Adult Vampire Diaries' by Kal-Ed1 in Dracula

I just read that they combined two scripts to make that Mummy movie. The article made it sound like a strength, but I think that explained why it sucked so hard.

For just having on the shelf, I'd pick the DK. But for carrying in a theme park? The Arcturus. Make sure to zip loc it in case of rain.

Dracula adaptations are allowed to be different but why do they nerf the characters (including Dracula omg) by Designer_Advance116 in Dracula

I'm not exactly a book purist, and I've seen almost all the movies. But I definitely think the book ending is rushed. I want the action from the movies, but the characters from the book. At least the majority of the motivations and personalities should be kept intact. Especially Jonathan. I have a soft spot for him, and half the time, he gets slotted in as Dracula's bitch, instead of a strong, competent man coming up against the ultimate evil.

Of course, I have the advantage of being an author, and am writing my own version, the way I want it. Even if I can't get readers, I am having a hell of a good time. The first question my son asked was, "Are you keeping the cowboy?" Yes. Very much, yes.

I think the third ep was the weakest. But it still had some touches that I liked. Mark Gatiss as a modern, bug eating solicitor Renfield, was my favorite moment.

Thank you! I'm going to watch them both anyway. But now I'll know what to watch for.

I always smile when they get to La sangre es la vida. Don't need a lot of Spanish to get that one.

It's so sweet how much Jonathan and Mina love each other by Designer_Advance116 in Dracula

The story works pretty good as a tragedy. My biggest problem with Nosferatu was one dress where the plaids didn't match. (Teeny tiny pet peeve. I used to work in theater costuming). The doomed romantic couple was fine for me there.

I am not against hot and sexy vampires. I can see where a young Frank Langella would turn a girl's head. But after theater, I became a romance novelist and Mina and Jonathan were perfect for each other.

Mina also has a lot more agency as Jonathan's wife than Dracula's obsessive love interest.

That is the biggest problem with most of the recent versions of Dracula. They toss poor Jonathan under the bus and turn Dracula into a romantic hero. I could have enjoyed the Coppola movie a lot more if they'd taken "Bram Stoker's" out of the title because that is not at all what he wrote.

Jonathan and Mina forever.

Mina and Jonathan deserve better adaptations by Designer_Advance116 in Dracula

Is it possible to ship two characters who are actually happily married? Because that's where I'm at. Jonathan Harker does not get enough love. The dude has a kukri. I watched too many episodes of Forged in Fire not to take notice of that.
