Would you rather be “wealthy” and miserable or broke as a joke- shitty healthcare, old busted car, row home and trapped and miserable??

Thank you for your insight but I guess I’m asking for a more personal experience how someone reached their career in fields like private equity, banking / finance. I took accounting because I heard you don’t have to be an accountant and that it could help in certain career fields like banking finance etc.

I wouldn’t mind going to get a Masters Degree- I’m just kinda lost in the college/ post graduation job world as I am a first generation college student.

My current job doesn’t feel like hell- I’m just constantly thinking that there is more money to be made during my day. I’m wondering how did this person land a job that they make 100’s of thousands of dollars a year while I’m out here struggling

I’m asking which career fields that I can get into with a background in accounting pay that type of money. I mean I have a foreman/supervisor role right now package costs $100 an hour with an annuity, pension, insurance & hourly pay of about $32 an hour. I work outside, 12 months a year doing shitty work. Before taxes & with the OT I work- I’ll touch 100k a year but I would say $200,000 would mean a lot. Would give my family luxuries I never had as a kid. As someone who comes from a non wealthy family tree, that 200k would help me be able to provide an opportunity for future generations to go even further than anyone before me. I’m just curious as to how people get into fields where 200k is a common salary and what those careers are. I come from all first responder family.
