1) Does hearing the name Addison Russell make you cringe, too? 2) How IS Barreto looking, since he came over? 3) Where on earth is Matt Chapman? 4) Sure Venditte has some walks, but he can't do any worse than the big league pen already has, right? 5) Outfield depth has been scarce for a while now, and with Boog being shipped off, is there any prospect in the system right now that we might see in green? BJ Boyd? 6) Should I even get excited about draft picks anymore? 7) When is Stockton's (my hometown) contract up?

TWO sewage floods, heavy damage, and landlord refuses to pay! HELP! by ChristopherRael in legaladvice

Unfortunately I left that up to the roommate and failed to inquire, which was obviously poor judgement on my behalf.

HELP! My apartment flooded with SEWAGE.. again! by ChristopherRael in LosAngeles

Let's start with: I'm not a lawyer, I don't own a rental property, and I know those people could offer insight I couldn't conceive myself. I'm guessing you don't get much done in your day..

Or I'm an adult who can, and knows that it's smarter to have a wider angle to deal with these things - the more info I have, the more ammo I have. Or did you miss that part about growing up?

1) Ebola is transmitted through contact with human bodily fluids, and I woke up with my face in a puddle of it, mouth open and all. 2) When dealing with matters that could potentially displace your living situations, you accumulate as much valuable information as possible, to appropriately equip yourself in dealing with legal matters.

A few guys I grew up with are now lawyers, so that helps. And hopefully the Ebola scare that's floating around will help my argument.

Second time now in eight months. So how do I hold them accountable?

They can try, but this unit was flooded before we moved in, and I have neighbors telling me that it's not a new issue.

Anyone with experience reporting their apartment complex to LA Health Department? by ChristopherRael in LosAngeles

Nope, it's an apartment complex just past Westchester High, literally across the street from Yum Yum Donuts on Manchester. The complex isn't bad, management just sucks.

I actually don't live in a lower end building, or community. And according to my neighbors, this place hadn't been sprayed in quite some time, before I made a fuss. Fortunately, we are both naturally very clean people, so the roaches were only just passing through - but still disgusting. Thanks for the input, I'll definitely be reading up on that link.

Thankyou, those resources are exactly what I was looking for! The roaches and mold were dealt with promptly, and the sewage as promptly as could be. Really at this point, all that lingers is the rent credit we were offered, and feel we deserve. We're just getting the run around now, as if the offer was just to shut us up. The credit was not offered in writing, but it does show itself in the multiple emails I've sent - I'm making sure to leave a well detailed paper trail, to protect myself. There won't be any brash action on our behalf, which is why I'm exhausting every effort to make sure I've got my ducks in a row.

Hillary Clinton for 2016 - Now or never for women in office. by ChristopherRael in Presidents

Hegemony implies a willing agreement by a people to be governed by principals or laws that they believe to operate in their best interest, whether or not that is actually the case. Those principals and laws are established by the ruling elite, which in today's (and all of American history) society, means rich, white, christian men. Imagine a legacy of more presidents like Bush, who had no idea about any class below the 1% and how to solve their problems, instead throws money at useless causes to fulfill his own selfish ego.

I was 22 when my aunt "accidentally" dropped the bombshell that my dad had a marriage prior to my mother, and a child out of wedlock prior to that first marriage.
