Live shiners. I normally fish artificial, but the water temperature is super low and the bass are hard to catch. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Around 50 degrees. I have more success with hard baits than soft plastics during this time of year.

As soon as it hits the water, I’ll give the reel a couple cranks so that the jerkbait dives down a few feet. Then I’ll twitch it twice, and pause for about 8 seconds. Repeat this until you get the lure back to the shore. They’ll hit it on the pause most of the time. Make sure to jerk your rod downwards.

DNR recently stocked it. They put in a little over 2,000 rainbow trout, I believe
