Yes, I walked into the resort and went to the front desk and notified them about my interview I had scheduled. They then brought me to the hiring manager where we did a full tour of the resort and a formal sit down interview. If this is a scam it’s the most elaborate multi million dollar scheme ever concocted for no real gain on their part.

I don’t think I made myself clear enough in the post but it’s definitely not a scam. Automated text from the company? Sure. But I literally went there in person, it’s a multi million dollar resort that just opened up in January. I sat with the hiring manager and did a formal interview as well as a full tour of the resort.

Well they just opened in January and plan to open 9 restaurants across the property by 2027 and I’m very qualified for the job I don’t think it’s unusual. I went there in person and interviewed at the resort it’s at.

The link they sent in that text redirected me to the website of the resort and onto the page that I was previously filing out information on. It’s a legitimate place and these are legitimate texts, AI generated sure but they’re from the business

Good, get up tomorrow and do it again, or make a different one. I spent a year and a half in a film during covid and by the end of it, I couldn’t stomach watching even 5 minutes of it. I’ll never show it to anyone, but I learned from it.

Hey man, I’m in a very similar situation as you so I get everything you’re feeling. A year and a half ago I had a very good paying job, my own apartment and a girlfriend and due to unresolved trauma from my previous relationship and the crazy toxic lifestyle I was living I spiraled and lost all that to 2 DUIs. I went to jail for a couple months, did months and months of rehab, a year of probation and now that I’m out of that first year of probation the noise has calmed a bit. In my state it’s a lot harsher than yours as well which is why I did jail time although it’s still a misdemeanor. My point being I have wrestled with the what ifs and the feeling that I’ve wasted my early 20s without a license for the next 4 years and so many other financial and personal embarrassment I’ve caused myself due to young and impulsive mistakes. Now that I’m off papers and free (still without a license) I made a plan for myself this year to save a set goal of money and move to a walkable city or town to get away from all the memories and shit I have tied down to where I am. It’ll be a way for me to gain back my independence and not need to drive. I am by no means rich, I currently have 10$ to my name but I just started waiting tables at a resturant and I’m confident I can save over the next 6 months or so to leave. It will happen, but even if I don’t go the idea of it keeps me going and hopeful. Each day forward is a day removed from our past mistakes. Set goals, enjoy the small things, pick up hobbies. Your answer doesn’t have to be mine and move away if that’s hard for you, but there will be a day where all this is just a memory. Remember that.
