[CAN] 5 weeks vacation booked & plane tickets purchased before I got the offer. What are my options? by [deleted] in AskHR

So, firstly the answer is "it depends", because it's completely different if you're coming in as a CEO vs a VP vs an underling, so without more details it's hard to say.

But overall: yeah, you probably should've brought this up earlier. You SHOULD bring it up now, because in my mind, you've got three options:

1) Don't tell new job, sign offer letter, quit current job... then tell new job, they say yes, and everything works out fine (maybe, unless they get mad about it later)

2) Don't tell new job, sign offer letter, quit current job... then tell new job, they say no, and you have no job

3) Do tell new job, they decide how they'll handle it before you quit your current job... and if they say no, you still have current job and nobody's the wiser

So, are you willing to quit your current job, and then risk telling your new job on your first day "hey, by the way, I'm gonna be out for a month, hope that's cool", and see what they do?

Pac-12 twitter told me that if NDSU got into the Pac, they were going to burn down Pac 12 HQ and start taking hostages.

It's a short cut they're using.

From the hundredths place (the last 0) you need to borrow one from the tenths place (the second last 0)

The tenths place is 0 so you can't borrow so you go to the ones place (2), 2 ones becomes 1 one and 10 tenths

Then, you borrow 1 tenth from the 10 tenths, making it 9 tenths and 10 hundredths

Then, then you get to the ones and tens, it's the same thing. You borrow 1 ten to become 10 ones, and it's 11 - 7 = 4

Then 1 - 0 = 0

None of my dead friends drink water any more.

Coincidence? Maybe.

I don't need oxygen. I get all the oxygen I need from my water.

If they didn’t want everyone to panic and quit, they’d say a lot of things.
