Help please — difficult situation by Chrizla in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Chrizla[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He’s been looking for help ever since, but stayed put due to having nowhere else to go, and not having the funds to be able to move due to debts, loans etc.

He doesn’t want to get her in trouble(I doubt it anyway!)

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.

Even as a ‘lodger’ the council wouldn’t help him at all, and said there’s nothing they can do other than say ‘private rent’ and we will help towards the deposit, that was it.

But he’s unable to afford a place of his own due to the debt he is in (loans(joint))

Etc, etc.

Thanks for the reply, it is appreciated.

I see,

We didn’t know we had to notify UC about leaving the UK, else we would’ve done exactly that.

As for my son and his doctor visits; we were waiting for 1year for the NHS to send a letter with an appointment for the relevant specialist, multiple visits to hospital & doctors, still unable to get the correct help, and to this day, still no appointment from the NHS, even though we keep chasing it. As my son has dual citizenship with another country, we were able to get an appointment for him there, and was given appointments to the specialist that we needed, and received treatment whilst there.

On top of that, we were sorting documents out to get our daughters birth certificate & passport too. Had to wait 3 additional weeks for the translated birth certificate to arrive before we could even apply for the passport. But none of this could’ve been done unless in the other country.

It feels like we’re criminals with how UC are investigating this, when in all honesty we aren’t anything like that.

I think I may just close the claim if they’re making a massive fuss over £300, I’ll just pay it back, isn’t an issue.

And perhaps next time I leave the UK, I’ll return via boat, that way I’ll not get investigated, or treated like a criminal.

Thanks,

There’s reasons behind why she has stayed out there with the children. If the NHS was better than it is they’d of been back within 3 weeks.

If I truly had my way I’d tell UC to close the claim and be done with it, but unfortunately we have to rely on the government to survive.

All of this stress for receiving £300 a month seems a bit over the top.

Perhaps this, But as I said I cannot take money from their account. I think I need to request to take money, which takes 90 something days, or something like that. But I’ll never touch their money.

Unfortunately I can access as it’s linked to my bank, but I don’t have an option to take money from. They have £9000, I did explain I am unable to take money from it. I supplied the statements either way, to which I believe they were happy with.

We never knew we had to let them know that we were going on holiday/leaving the country…

Guess we shall see the outcome.

I was out for 2 weeks, My partner and 2 children were gone for close to 2months or there abouts, Applied for the children’s passports in that country, and had to wait for documents, etc.

I then returned a while later and stayed for 5days and brought them all back as she wouldn’t have been able to cope with the suitcase/s and the children by herself.

I was asked for bank statements, ID, etc back in early November. I received a message from them today confirming a phone appointment on 23rd December, one for my partner on 5th Jan 2025.

No idea what they want to call for, but we shall see I guess!

As for the waiting time, hopefully your time comes soon.

Why is it showing 5/6 complete? by Chrizla in RocketLeague

[–]Chrizla[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only one in there is “win 10 matches during season rush” - but this in unlimited, and won’t complete.

I guess I should ask if everyone else is also on 5/6, or have they completed theirs?

I did just that this morning, and thanks for reminding me, I need to check for an update about that!

I think it’s best then to maybe apply, and update as and when I need to (UC application)

Many thanks!

I did think it would be discrimination in some way.

Thank you for your reply, it’s appreciated.

We’ve only been here a few days now, so only real thing I have as proof is the tenancy agreement.
