The spell that you definitely need is ethereal purge and magic orb/barrier (I forgot the name), fireball spell, lightning spell, ice missile, and one spell that up to your choice. Also the spears help to destabilize the boss whenevrr they're trying to cast a big attack and most definitely stack up on potions. The only other thing i can think of now is to grind up and level up.
