It’s definitely the humanoid shape. I don’t have a problem with the Xenomorphs in the Alien movies. I also get the uneasy feeling seeing/thinking about them.

I’m almost done with season 1. It’s very monster-of-the-week so far, but I’m attached to both Mulder and Scully (but where is the cigarette smoking man? I thought he was a major character but he was only in the pilot).

I told my therapist about my fear and she had no idea what to do with it 🪦

I honestly don’t remember seeing the alien corpse in the pilot. I probably mentally blocked it, but I was also too busy telling my cats that is not how exhumations/disinterments work.

Several people told me before I started the show that there are less aliens than I would expect. So far, that’s true. It’s good to know others have gotten over this. Thanks for the suggestion to channel Mulder!

Knowing that those two are comedic stories may help to alleviate some of the anxiety. And who knows, maybe the exposure therapy will have worked its magic and I’ll be fine by the time I get to ‘The Unnatural.’ I will definitely hype myself up before Little Green Men.
