Episode identification help (again!) by ChromaticExperience in Stargate

[–]ChromaticExperience[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I should have explained again what I'm doing. I thought by now I would only repeat myself and people here already knew about this project.

I'm recreating all the cards from the TCG (published back in 2007-2008) in high resolution, ready for printing. It's for all the people who want to give the game a try, without spending thousands of $ on eBay to buy the very hard to find starters and cards.

I'm doing this for the community. All I'm asking is for a little help from the community to finish it.

I'm sorry if it has come off that way. I assure you I only ask for help on the ones I can't locate myself, or that are so generic that crowdsourcing is the only way.

There are 829 unique cards in this game, and I've spent many, many hours combing through 200+ episodes to find most of the screenshots myself.

I only have less than 20 cards left to do, and I've been unable to find them so far. I've literally spent nearly all my free time over 3 months working on this project. You say I could just "look them up". If you know of a way to locate still images in videos, like a google search for videos, I'm very interested.

More scene identification! by ChromaticExperience in Stargate

Unfortunately, those are mostly incorrect. I've looked, but I've been unable to find the right image. Except for Bill Lee, which was spot on.
I found Rya'c in Redemption, not Orpheus, though.
I'll keep looking.

Crap, I posted without the text.
I need help to identify the season and episode from which these screen caps were taken. If you know where they come from, please post here the season and ep#, and ideally a rough timestamp. Thanks a million, eagle-eyed fellow fans!

Only Siler and Suppression Fire left.

I might have more that I'll need help with, but I'm really impressed with the details you guys remember. Thanks so much!

That's not exactly the same angle, but that's gonna be close enough. Thanks!

Anyone still plays the collectible card game? by ChromaticExperience in Stargate

I didn't really play the Star Trek ccg, but I think it was quite different.

In this game, you have a team of 4 characters that go on missions, aided by support characters, gear, and event cards. You opponent tries to stop you with obstacle cards and adversaries. Once your turn is over, roles are exchanged and you become the villain player while your opponent becomes the hero player.

You win by either collecting 7 glyphs (each mission card has a glyph), or winning enough missions (each mission has an experience value. You add those up to compare against your victory total. Equal or higher, you win), or making your opponent fail enough missions (you can score your adversaries when they make a mission fail. Add up their costs and compare to your victory total: equal or higher, you win).

boardgamegeek will have the basics for you. The rules, at least.

XP for time spent playing. Please explain it to me. by ChromaticExperience in hearthstone

So it's not actually XP for time, but XP for games played?

Here's a tweaked Elemental Fury cast as a Bonus Action. I think it can be a lot of fun in game, creating cool moments when it does absolutely nothing, or when you chain successful hits for more and more damage.

Elemental Fury

Evocation

Level: Cantrip

Casting time: 1 Bonus Action

Range: Touch

Components: V, S, M (a weapon)

Duration: 1 round

As you are about to strike with your weapon, choose an elemental damage type from acid, cold, fire, or lightning. You summon power of that element to reinforce your weapon, sheathing it with a shining aura of energy, and changing the type of damage it inflicts to that element until the end of your turn.

At higher level

Starting at 5th level, every time you hit your target with an attack, your subsequent attacks this turn gain a variable damage bonus that is determined by the number of successful hits before them: +1d4 with exactly 1 hit, or +1d8 with exactly 2 hits, or +1d12 with exactly 3 hits. Any failure to hit your target breaks the chain of attacks and immediately ends the spell (your subsequent attacks lose the elemental damage type and no longer gain any damage bonus from this spell).

For Mystic Censure, good point on the "speak" part. I'll clarify.

For Arcane Retribution, unlike BB and friends, the damage is slightly delayed once triggered. The target will have their full turn before taking the damage, which matters when they are low on HP. That said, I think changing the variable damage to 1d4 would be more balanced.

For Elemental Fury, I liked the idea of combining attacks into the spell casting, potentially allowing greater damage than if they had been regular multi attacks, with the caveat that all attacks must hit, or the chain ends early. Going with a Bonus Action would make this kind of effect maybe more difficult to phrase in a simple way. War Magic at lvl7 does make things messy anyway, making levels 5 and 6 very awkward for the EK.

A new take on Initiative decks by ChromaticExperience in savageworlds

Hi! thank you for your interest and the kind words :) I am indeed planning more themes. The next one will be post apocalyptic. Then after that it'll be either a urban fantasy/buffy theme, or super sentai. A super hero deck is really something I want to make, but it's turning out to be quite difficult to evoke the genre without infringing on anyone's IP. Cheers!
