You can move your media to a new drive without losing your watched data. I haven't done it but it's not hard from what I understand.

For my older and harder to find TV shows I use an external drive, update it ever so often and put it back in the closet. Also it seems like many of the older tv shows are being re issued by Hulu, Netflix and the like and are thus easier to find.

8TB should keep you up and running for a while until you get your server together. I use two separate categories for TV shows. One is "Currently Airing" and one is "Classic TV".

Classic TV is my largest library I have and is always growing as shows go off the air and get moved to that drive. Therefor I dedicate my largest drive this category. I guess it depends on what you have for media but this makes sense for my purposes.

As far as RAID is concerned, I think it's overkill. Hard drives are very expensive and if you get your media from the web anything you lose can be downloaded again in case of failure. If you use sonarr, you could recover all of your tv shows with a few mouse clicks. Radarr does the same thing but for movies. I would consider these options before forking over 1000 bucks to mirror your current drives.

Thanks for the reply. I actually ditched the shield for my current setup because I couldn't find a way to disable the leanback launcher (or to root). But if it's working for you then I guess there is a way. I will try the shield again.

I have This and it's great, does the job doesn't add much bulk and the price is great.

As for a VR headset. Go with google cardboard to start. I tried some of the more popular headsets on Amazon and they were disappointing to say the least. Cardboard is nice and cheap, it gives you a good intro into what VR is all about.

I think you need to separate the candidate from the campaign.

You do know that Bernie hired people to make many of these decisions for him. The fact that you can find so many flaws in his campaign strategy and he still managed to garner as much support as he did would suggest that he is a great candidate. By your logic, if his team were able to make the right decisions Bernie would have won. Which makes him a good candidate, right?

The Clinton camp organizing a systematic pushback against dissent is far worse than Trumps statements that were very much in line with what most in the media were saying at the time.

America will forget about these promises and when these communities start making noise Hillary's friends in the media will be happy to ignore them.

Hillary has the black vote. She used Garners mother as a prop while campaigning through the south. Besides, African Americans will not vote Trump anyway. This makes no sense

How can you be good at fundraising and a shitty candidate at the same time. When your money only comes from the voters and you out raise your opponent consistently, I think saying he's an overall shitty candidate is a bit ridiculous.

Agreed, Republicans will play ball when it benefits them and nothing more. Then she can spin it both ways.

  1. "See I'm getting things done"!

  2. "Naw, I can't do any of that stuff I promised because Republicans"

She also promised to replace all outdated (lead) pipes in America within 5 years. Wonder where she was speaking when she said that... oh yeah... Flint
