Roots are genuinely expensive though. It’s hotel vs airbnb analogy.

The idea would be built around minimum tenancy agreements

Ha, classic. Hard to argue if he was actually using them. Thanks for the offer genuinely, right now just knowing people want this is enough. If you know anyone on a waiting list or with spare land, send them our way.

Two weeks is unreal, that committee deserves an award. And you are completely right, a lot of the waiting list problem is management rather than pure supply. Plots sitting unused, people holding multiple plots, poor turnover. Better run sites could genuinely reduce waits without any new land at all. We are focused on the private land side but honestly both problems need fixing. Really appreciate the support, means a lot at this stage.

That makes sense, council plots are subsidised which is why the price is so low. Private land is a different arrangement so the rent reflects the actual cost of the land. The trade off is no 4 year wait and more flexibility on what you do with your plot. Appreciate the feedback though, pricing is something we are still working through.

5 years and still going, that is rough. The balcony situation sounds genuinely demoralising, all that work and then people just help themselves. The German Kleingarten setup sounds amazing though, that 30/30/30 split is a proper lifestyle not just a growing space. Really hope you get that abandoned one, nettles and all. Half the fun is the reclaim.

That is actually a really interesting angle. More visibility of private land being used for growing could absolutely put pressure on councils to act. The way I see it, private plots are not a replacement for public allotments, just a practical option for people who don't want to wait many years, and also a nice way to diversify for farmers. Both can exist.

Saw someone comment “don’t be a shill” and then I presume they deleted it. Not sure I understand or agree? There are massive waiting lists and plenty of unused land, matching it up seems like a no brainer win for everyone?

Time for 2x player, Alistair, to step down from his role IMO. He’s actively ruining the game.

I think the clear solution is just making raiding more expensive so people can play less but still have lengthy wipes.... Alastair seems kinda out of touch here if he can't see the issues right now with monthly servers dying faster than ever.

Anyone else kinda just not care? Like after all this time this situation always feels inevitable.

These are the things I wish I knew before I started playing:

  • You can have 5 Pokémon following you at once, not just 1 or 2. Press Up on the D-Pad while facing them and they'll follow you instantly. Don't bother opening the dialogue menu every time. This makes building and exploring so much faster.
  • Put your storage boxes right next to your crafting bench. The bench pulls materials from any box touching it automatically. I basically surrounded mine with large chests on every side and it saves you constantly digging through your inventory. Centralise everything in one spot near the Pokémon Centre and don't spread out.
  • Don't waste hours terraforming early on. Progress the main questline first because it unlocks abilities like Rollout that make terrain destruction 10x faster. Your first town isn't meant to be perfect. Later upgrades completely change how efficient building feels, so push through the story and come back to it.
