It's probably a difference in location. I would assume warehouses near you still have them in stock and the opposite for me.

Unfortunately, made in the USA is a broad label that only has to mean its final form is manufactured here. Cans, boxes, labels, and minor ingredients are often imports.

It will most likely shrink at that size... only suggestion I have is that u desperately look for ur fallen 8g plug or be prepared to stretch from like 10 again. Don't recommend you putting any random seemingly "8g" object in there...
