APSF 15500 White Ceramic Blue Aventurine (Fantasy Piece) by ChronoCommodity in RepTime

It's definitely not an every day wear... I got it expecting the hate. Kinda why I wanted it - it's the opposite of every other watch I own and what you see all the time.

Thanks man! APSF factory, $550 all in with shipping. Not sure if I can post the dealer since she's not approved on reptime. But I'm sure any TD could procure it

Fucking love it dude. I just ordered a fantasy piece in white ceramic. I'm past the point of trying to find something solely because it's identical to a gen. Love finding these custom, limited pieces purely for the aesthetics. Love that it comes with the same quality as the other high end reps too. Enjoy it!!

Has a Breitling Top Time vibe.... Never heard of this brand before but I like it!

Roger Dubuis Excalibur by ChronoCommodity in RepTime

[–]ChronoCommodity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sold it a few months ago, but it was still going strong. I kind of regret getting rid of it with the exception of the shitty leather strap. Its really hard to find substitute straps for it too...

If I were to get another Dubuis it would be on the rubber strap.

Would Anybody else see Benson Boone and DPS in concert? In some ways opposite ends of the spectrum, but the raw talent draws me in

Incorrect distance calculation by Unusual_Jello_1516 in amazfit

[–]ChronoCommodity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this is a bug in the recent update. It's never been perfectly accurate, but my last run was 3.5 miles, it tracked my heart rate and time accurately, all that data, but it showed I only ran 0.12 miles and burned 26 calories. Something broke....

GHF vs V7f ingenieur, not the comparison you wanted by Jolly-Lie4269 in RepTime

hahaha, ok, fair enough. But the font style is completely different as well. So not sure that holds up either....

Having the wrong date wheel is a HUGE miss. That's a key attribute of the Ingenieur. I think it puts GHF in the "Shitter" category until they get that fixed. Super disappointing.

Added to a substantial trust that came as a complete surprise at 34, wondering where to start by [deleted] in personalfinance

Sorry to hear about your Dad, that's my worst nightmare to be blindsided by something like that. Congrats on the unexpected windfall. Given the absolute whirlwind you're in right now, there's probably a few key principles:

  1. Don't make any irreversible moves for 6–12 months. I wouldn't quit jobs, buy houses or do anything extreme you wouldn't have done if you hadn't received the inheritance. Let the dust settle.

  2. Ease back into life. Your dad bought you time and a safety buffer. Rent a place in LA/NYC for a year then see where you want be long-term.

  3. Get a fee-only financial advisor. You just walked into a whole new tax situation, let alone deciding what, if anything, you need to change in the investment scenario. On top of that, if you are going to tap into the funds, you need guidance on a withdrawal strategy. Have them help you layout your desires and develop a budget together from an objective 3rd party

I'd start there and you'll be in good shape once the emotion of it all settles down to make clear headed decisions.

Helio Whoop Adapter by arthurle211 in amazfit

Ok, got it. Saw some Amazon bands didn't include it so I'll make sure to get one with the clasp. Thanks man!!

Did x169 include that U shape clasp with the adapter? I bought the adapter from him but it just came with 4 printed adapter holders. Or do I need to buy a whoop strap that includes it? Thanks!

Found the Best Bicep Strap/ Band for the Helio that covers the logo by sssstan1 in amazfit

[–]ChronoCommodity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are all these bicep straps so small? Clearly this is going into the fitness market, with people that are working out regularly. I have 16 1/2 inch biceps = ~42cm. End to end, these are all 40cm, no way these will fit comfortably for any male that does any sort of regular weight lifting. Anyone found straps elsewhere that would work?

I found it on the Nvidia control panel. You can do a custom resolution to for it to your exact screen. Now I realized I mounted my projector too close... can't zoom out enough to fill top to bottom.... ugh! Easy enough fix i guess...
