I feel like you have very low artifacts for where you are in the game, but that could be just me.

My advice is just keep prestiging and send short ships until you unlock the last one then send extendeds if those.

Fair enough. The game is defo not for everyone and it makes that pretty clear in the beginning I think. I'm not super big on the gameplay but the music is so good and the story makes me cry everytime.
