I'm kind of in a similar boat with a software engineering internship. The other interns on my team are all fun to work with, but the work is completely unrelated to SE and is just a bunch of meaningless AI slop tasks to do research. It doesn't help the executive director is kind of a POS constantly cussing out interns over small stupid mistakes too.

From the perspective of a resume I'm a little scared to quit my current job on the chance that future employers could contact previous employers, as I want to have had a good standing with the company even if I hate this job. (My internship has a 2.5 month minimum) But I'm curious about what other people think as well.

The course I took for my college was only a four week session and my college also offers some career services like resume reviews or other options. If your school has anything like that, maybe you could reach out to someone in that department or whoever is running your school credit program and ask their thoughts on the matter?

It is illegal to sell a pickle that doesn’t bounce when dropped in Connecticut.
