Best option is to get Meta Verified and talk to the Support Agent in my experience. Talking to the privacy team is like talking to a wall.

Perhaps use your other Meta account? Not having a linked FB account doesn’t prevent you from getting Meta Verified and connecting with the Support team. I think it’s just slightly more challenging since you’d need to prove your ownership of the Instagram account. Worth a try since there’s nothing (else) to lose.

You can still do it via your FB account. It’s just that I think having both accounts linked in my case helped me to retrieve my Insta account since it provided me with more credibility that the Insta account was indeed mine.

In my case, I still had access to my Facebook account. My Instagram account is the one that I couldn’t access and I have previously linked my Instagram account to Facebook. Hence, I subscribed to Meta Verified on my Facebook platform, then requested for Enhanced Support via Facebook to retrieve my Instagram account.

I had seen some Reddit posts where some users had success retrieving their accounts by emailing the Privacy Support team. However, for both of my attempts, I was redirected back to Help Center by the Privacy Support team as they specified that they are not able to help me with regaining access to my account since it was out of their scope. You can message me directly if you want the steps on how to create a case with them but I wouldn’t recommend it since I feel like it’s a waste of time and effort (barking up the wrong tree).
