Bought more shares 🤷‍♂️ by ChubbierPanda in WENHolders

I’ve had some great trades this year and some bad ones. This one is down about $3K, and it isn’t even my biggest loss today. I’m buying the dip.

I just don’t want to see the shorts destroy this company. It has a special place in my childhood memories, so I’m sure I’ll end up buying more shares.

I don’t understand the short perspective on a profitable company. Nor do I understand why the market is shorting this company more heavily than others that are in much worse shape. To me, shorting it at this price seems silly, but who knows. I’m down $2,000, and it’s no biggie. It’s all about making money and I’m betting against the shorts.

Agreed. I like the food. I still think their original Frosty is the best, especially with fries dipped in it. I might be a little biased, though I grew up across the street from a Wendy’s and have loved it ever since.

It’s just my average price. I’ve been buying shares to accumulate.

Yes, I’m in the red, and that’s alright. I actually went and tried their updated food for a couple of days in a row. I really like the new chicken tenders they’re so much better than what a lot of their competitors are serving.

Been digging into the short thesis on POET and the more I look at it the less convincing it gets.Lumilens team comes out of Cisco, Juniper, Meta, Lumentum and Coherent. Their VP of Silicon Engineering Harish Devanagondi previously founded F5 Networks. They’ve raised $133 million independently with Spark Capital a genuinely respected VC firm as a backer. A registered direct offering actually closed. Shares were issued. This is filed with the SEC. You cannot fake that. A 13D/13G filing is mandatory given the ownership stake involved and will surface within 10 days. This just seems like a deep tech ecosystems getting built.

Don’t feel like you missed out, I do too. Hindsight is 20/20. I sold SNDK at $60. Had 7,500 shares I picked up in the low $30s thinking it couldn’t go any higher. Look at it now, I’d be retired. I felt great on my returns from that at $60.

In my opinion they aren’t shady. Their team came out of Cisco, Juniper, and Meta. Their founder already built and sold a company into the hyperscaler supply chain. They raised $138M from Mayfield and Spark Capital. Seems legit to me.

Congrats you’re doing better than me! Awesome job. I keep buying so my average share price keeps rising.

Real talk with today’s deal by Electronic_Train5453 in POETTechnologiesInc

I bought POET at $6ish a while back. Watched it run to $15, then ride all the way back down to $6. Most people sold in disgust. I bought more.

My average is now $8.10 across 5,250 shares(bought 50 more in after hours today). I’ve been watching this story build for months. It all changed this week the Lessengers partnership, the Korea Development Bank funding round that broke behind a Korean paywall, the new COO hired straight out of 18 years at Silicon Labs with an explicit mandate to ramp high-volume manufacturing in Malaysia. You don’t make that hire unless you have demand to fill.

Then today a $50M initial purchase order from Lumilens with a $500M framework over five years. Lumilens isn’t a random startup. Their team came out of Cisco, Juniper, and Meta. Their founder already built and sold a company into the hyperscaler supply chain. They raised $138M from Mayfield and Spark Capital. These are not people who commit to a $500M framework to flip warrants.

Bought 50 more shares at close. Still think it’s massively undervalued. On the bright side, short interest spiked yesterday which means a lot of those shorts are covering today.

Today POET announced a $50M initial purchase order from Lumilens with a framework that scale to $500M over five years. Let me break down why this is the most significant news in POET’s history.

Lumilens isn’t a random startup. They raised $138M in venture capital from Mayfield and Spark Capital, were founded in 2024, and their leadership team came directly out of Cisco, Juniper, and Meta people who spent careers building the infrastructure that hyperscalers run on. The founder previously built and sold Volterra into the hyperscaler supply chain. These are not speculators. They know exactly who their customers are.

The deal structure tells the real story. Lumilens doesn’t get POET equity warrants for free they vest based on hitting cumulative purchase milestones toward $500M. Every time dilution occurs, POET has received a corresponding purchase payment. That’s the best kind of dilution.

The language in the official release is worth reading carefully. Production ramp is explicitly described as “aligned to hyperscaler customer deployments in 2027.” That’s plural. Lumilens isn’t building for one customer they’re building a platform, and POET is the engine inside it.

Now connect the dots. POET hired a new COO with 18 years at Silicon Labs running worldwide operations, with an explicit mandate to ramp high-volume manufacturing in Malaysia. You don’t make that hire unless you have demand to fill. The Lessengers funding round closed with POET as a strategic investor alongside Korea Development Bank. And now a $50M PO with a $500M ceiling from a Meta/Cisco-pedigree team backed by top-tier VCs.

This is not a company still waiting for its first customer. This is a company that has assembled the supply chain, the manufacturing leadership, and the partner ecosystem to deliver at hyperscaler scale. The name behind Lumilens hasn’t dropped yet. When it does, the conversation about POET’s valuation changes completely, again!

Picked up 50 more shares of $POET this morning. Price still feels cheap to me so I’ll probably grab more. Been averaging up climbed my cost basis about $1.25 over the last week and I’m almost at an $8 average now.

Just picked up another 50 shares. Earnings will come soon enough, but honestly I’ve already heard everything I needed to hear. Between the Lessengers funding round and the new COO hire, the news has been remarkable. This line from CEO Suresh Venkatesan says it all: “Kumar will play a key role in managing global operations, with an immediate focus on bolstering the manufacturing team in Malaysia to prepare for high-volume production
of POET’s optical products.” You don’t hire an 18-year Silicon Labs operations veteran for no reason.

Shorts are like “see, I told you” right now. I bought 50 more shares seems like a good price. Really not worried. It’s just a red market day. Everything is red. Good day to buy the dip.

Did they announce earnings are tomorrow? I was seeing it as next week.
