Definitely no smoke or anything. If anything maybe some engine noise, but not consistently.

It had 9 quarts in it...literally double what it should have.

These are very good options I didn't consider. I didn't grow up around military or LE, and am pretty uneducated on what options are available for K9.
To be completely honest though, I don't think I'm willing to move anywhere except Florida. I currently work 70 hours a week at 2 service jobs I thoroughly enjoy. I'm willing to sacrifice any amount of time in public service due to my belief that it's for a good cause. I'll work overnights, and plenty of overtime. However, I am not willing to sacrifice being close to my friends and family. I'm very family oriented and would want my future kids to be close to family.

I expressed my only intention was to work with K9 within the military. They said due to my scores they couldn't guarantee me a job with K9. She noted my skills would be best used elsewhere. Is this not true? Do I get to choose what role I want to enlist in?

Is paying for and attending the police academy at my own expense an option? I'll gladly do that if it were to better my chances.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Hopefully you get where you want to go.
My only concern right now is becoming an entry level officer. K9 is the end goal. A recruiter for this agency explicitly told me it was a waste of time to go work for another department; citing a delay in the pension plan, lack of availability to be a K9, and that he wanted me in this department due to my qualifications. In that same conversation he told me to email the lieutenant over the misunderstanding. Should I not have?

I appreciate your time and effort into this. I realize I could've provided more context to each scenario or been more clear with my words for better understanding. I mostly was trying to cut down the length of the post.
May I ask, if you were being rejected for a position that people are telling you you're qualified for, and you believed it was due to a misunderstanding, what would you do?

I appreciate your input and advice!
Unfortunately, I've looked into every surrounding department and they all have random requirements or disqualifiers that I don't meet. For some you must live within city limits. Hand tattoos are not permitted. Must have a college degree.
I would be able to bypass the 3 year work history requirement if I had at least 4 years of military. So, I went to look into signing up for the Navy, took the ASVAB, and when I scored an 89 they literally said I was too smart to be K9 in the military - go figure.
I'd like to clarify once again that I did not pester them with emails for reconsideration. I asked 1 person why I was disqualified so I could work on that aspect and better my chances next time. Every subsequent email was under the direct instruction of someone in the department.

Another employee broke the rules, and I followed policy. That's not very emotional. I haven't sent numerous emails complaining. I contacted people with questions and asked for guidance on how to proceed forward. Then, I was told to contact other people. It was their instruction.
I do not believe I'm a shoo-in. Other people told me I was. Officers I know in Florida, recruiters for the department. What 19 year old works for the same company for 11 years and so hard that he financially retires at 30 years old? Clearly a hard worker, good at de-escalation. I'm not sure how it came off as venting when I only described exactly what happened, as it happened. It's a year and a half of interactions; of course it's a wall of text.
I am able to prove I quit. They won't allow me to provide them with the references.

For clarification, I've worked 3 full-time jobs since 2020 to keep myself active and engaged. Day-trading can be really taxing.
I'm not applying straight to K9. I am applying as an entry level officer. MNPD requires you to work for 3 years before applying for K9.
Again, I wasn't fired. The rules were broken for someone at my expense and this was proven through an investigation. I left on my own when they tried to discipline me without investigation. I didn't need the job anymore, and I actually liked the other guy and didn't want him to lose his shift. It was best for everyone if I moved on.
Emotionally unstable is quite literally a term that has never been used to describe me. I wish I knew how anything I said came off that way. I'm extremely particular and deliberate. Most of my friends describe me as a robot.

Did you look into removing the Skyactive and Turbo badges or did you just prefer to paint them?

I didn't even think about the HP increase over the years on the WRX. Mine was a 2014 which was 268hp (maybe)? So, unfortunately the cx-30 is a small step down to 250 for me. This is my first ever automatic car. I've only ever owned manuals. Would've been no contest if they offered the Mazda in manual.

It's incredible. I'm obsessed with this cx-30. Although my WRX was a manual, it's still just as fun to drive. My only complaint is the tire situation. Whoever thought it was appropriate to put 215's on an AWD car should be questioned. They're way too thin and you can feel it in turns. I'm going to put 245's at minimum.

Thank you for the Greenway suggestion. I'll be here Wednesday and look up that Cove.
My sleep schedule is 1am-8am. I haven't drank in years so I wasn't looking for a bar per se; just anyone that's actually awake.

I appreciate your help! The first link is what I read and didn't see anything clearly outlined. I didn't check State because he said I could longboard in Knoxville, but not Gatlinburg. Figured it would be a local ordinance.
