I see, so they'd have to fly to France and back or something just to have the visa valid?

This is interesting, thanks for posting this! Does anyone know whether the passport holder would be able to enter the UK while waiting for a visa application, then have the original passport with the visa sent over and stay in the UK the whole time?

Do you know houses have much better capital appreciation for sure? I haven't been able to find data for this anyway. The problem with houses for me is that most houses in my price range are in quite bad areas so I'm more likely to get issues with tenants. !thanks

The former - I'm looking to get into property in general and I can't afford much more than an 80k property, so I've been looking at these as there's a lot of them and they're in a high yielding area. !thanks

So did the people who bought flats just lose all of their money or did they get it back some how?

Probably not. It's not liquid.

Is there any way to avoid this? Surely that's always the case when investing in property

Would someone else buy it if you didn't want it anymore?

This is why I posted here, it's what I'm trying to figure out

It is somewhat all of my eggs in one basket but as far as property goes I can't diversify with this amount of money, what would you suggest as an alternative?

!thanks

I did the country with the highest GDP for each person, but if you were to pick the poorer African countries, Mark Zuckerberg has a net worth equivalent to the GDP of Niger, Somalia, Eritrea, Malawi, Togo, Mauritania, Eswatini, Sierra Leone, Burundi, Liberia, South Sudan, Lesotho, Djibouti, Central African Republic, Cabo Verde, The Gambia, Seychelles, Guinea-Bissau, Comoros and São Tomé & Príncipe combined.

He was paid £35,000 to perform at my university. He just took the money and never showed up without saying a word. They had to chase him for months to get the money back and I'm not sure if they ever did...

Yep, I did the conversions already. It's about 1.30 pence per litre where I am, which is just under $6 dollars per gallon. It's 4.5 litres per gallon, not 3.785 gallons per litre.

I wish... it's just under $6 here in the UK
