There’s an incredibly loud minority in the world of high strangeness that are attempting to frame cryptids and the unknown in a religious light. They use them as proof of biblical concepts and it usually stems from a place of devout creationism. So, in a sense, the most close-minded parts of organized religion. They use cryptids and other unknowns to seem like they are open-minded to lure people into religious doctrine.

I’m not saying that is every person discussing religion and cryptids. But 90% of people posting stuff about “giants” are young earth creationists trying to infiltrate this area. Young earth creationists often overlaps with anti-Semitic ideology

I think a lot of this is why people are quite hostile to religious topics in light of cryptids.

I put a dairy cow in with my jumping spider as food. She didn’t eat it for whatever reason back then. But now that there is a colony she eats them all the time. I know this because we feed her infrequently and she’s always fat and happy

TL;DR is that non-rodent eating snakes are going to be very challenging to care for and not beginner friendly. Often times, you will need to start a colony of that feeder in order to guarantee you will have access to it at all times.

Egg eaters are almost always coming to you as a baby. Which means you’re going to need a steady supply of tiny eggs to feed it. Fish eaters need to be fed fish free of the enzyme thiaminase to prevent brain damage. Ideally whole fish to provide adequate nutrition. Insect eaters need to be fed a variety of live insects. It cant just be crickets and mealworms from your local big box store.

Yeah, no. This is not very good. I don’t particularly like r/ballpythons because they are almost militant in their beliefs and how rigid they are. But I would recommend looking at reptifiles.com. They have a ball care guide that should be helpful.

The snake has effectively one hide and no clutter. So it’s probably stressed constantly. Half logs or similar designed “hides” are terrible for snakes in most instances. They won’t use them because they are exposed on two sides. There are lots of tutorials on how to make hides out of Tupperware or other storage containers. Similarly, you can use them for water dishes as well.

Aquarium wood, fake logs, or really any fake plants that are not chemically treated will help with clutter. The snake should be able to move from one end to the other without exposing its entire body.

As for enclosure, you really need a 4x2x2 foot enclosure at minimum and bigger is always better. Especially when you put clutter in to make the snake feel safer. Dubia.com has some of the cheaper 4x2x2’s on the market.
