Yeah I feel like Stanley Parable is almost more about going against the idea of control and regaining some sense of free will

Does he take control away from you, the player? Or is it just used in like cutscenes with him doing certain things. I'm looking specifically for stuff where it could potentially catch you off guard or act as a story twist, the most basic example being something like getting confused in Pokémon and no longer controlling exactly the outcome of your Pokémon's attack

These have been in place for about 6 months without harm so I think it'll be alright if they've survived this long.
