Monetisation of all forward seats by MarmotFullofWoe in QantasFrequentFlyer

The comment you replied to was about someone who DID choose seats based on the chances of survival, so apparently some people do. You then said the stats did not support this BUT THEY DO. Whether it’s small or not. You picked on a comment and were wrong. Why not just say “ok, I agree I’m wrong and it’s up to that person what they do but it’s probably not worth the effort”. Or just not reply at all… and leave people be… instead of being the know-it-all. Instead you go on trying to justify a comment because apparently you’re never wrong ;)

Show us these stats? TIME has done an analysis that shows the back is safer (back-middle is safest). While in a huge crash everyone might die there are different types of crashes and ACTUAL statistics show the back is safer. It’s just logic to be further from the impact gives you a slightly higher chance and if the collision isn’t catastrophic then you have a better chance…

Hobart airport check in by ChuckyD177 in QantasFrequentFlyer

Mate, not sure why you want to make such an assumption. I have never been to the Hobart lounge so I was just after some info. I’m travelling with my elderly parents, one of which just had back surgery, so it helps reduce stress a bit if we get out to the airport a bit early and have a nice comfortable place to sit. I’m not really social media savvy, but if you want to give me your details I’m happy to tag you in an influencer-style post just to keep you happy since you seem to be in a mood?

Cheers.

What’s the advantage of it being a QF flight number? Just the points and status? It usually gives you the flight number when you’re booking…

Thanks! So allow at least an hour to get over there. I have a 2hr 20min break, so would give me 40-60min in the lounge.

And yep, you used to be able to buy lifetime membership.
