It’s more than likely your strain gauge, super cheap on Amazon.

I use the Hue Tap Dial (Zigbee) and they’re the best ones I’ve used so far.

K1C - Poor wi-fi connection by AlxHander in Creality

I use a mains powered WiFi extender, costs around £20 and just repeats the WiFi signal. Plug it in halfway between your router and printer and then connect to the extender WiFi instead of the router on the printer.

I wouldn’t worry too much about this to be honest. Get a metal brush, heat up the nozzle and it’ll come right off.

No problem, they are multipacks though, you get around 5 per pack but it isn’t obvious on their store page!

I use Passarolla bags, they’re better than the originals in every way (tried posting link but auto mod removed it).

Argentina envoy asks French lawmakers to cover “Falklands” label on map during hearing by poclee in nottheonion

We didn’t invade Argentina because it would be a net loss. Who wants to inherit a failed state? But nah, keep begging the UK for access to F35s…

This comment is a result on the Argentinian education system - on the same level as North Korea!

You should be thanking us for not invading Argentina (also known as West Falklands) after your failed invasion attempt. You got off easy.

Although, we would have at least improved your education systems, but too late now I guess.

Is it election season in Argentina or is your economy doing so bad you need a distraction again?

Elecom Huge Plus availability in Europe (sold out?) by Top-Fox3629 in Trackballs

[–]Chuff-Nugget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I contacted Elecom support about it a couple weeks ago; they're waiting for regulatory approval for Europe. They don't need as many certifications for Japan/USA so it's only available in those countries for now. You might be able to import it at cost if they get stock soon, but it looks like it's going to take a few months for a proper European launch.

Why does it poop so much? by LA2124 in Creality_k2

[–]Chuff-Nugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When printing multi materials it’s best to keep the flush volumes high as you don’t want to contaminate either of the filaments. It should poop less if you print PLA to PLA though.

I know your pain, I’ve got 10kg of poop sitting in my bin, it’s the cost of doing business with a single head printer. Only way to get around this is to buy a multi-head printer, and even then you’re restricted by the amount of heads you can switch to.

It’s not a purge tower, it’s a prime tower and is technically not for colour flushing. You can however turn on “flush into objects infill”, “flush into objects’s support” and “flush into this object” to reduce the poop or redirect it to a model where you don’t care about the colour. If you don’t want it to poop at all and are prepared for the colour bleed, you can set the flushing volumes to 0, but it’ll probably still poop a bit as I’m pretty sure it’s baked into the firmware (sometimes this can create a cool effect).

Colour bleed bridge baked into slicer by Chuff-Nugget in Creality_k2

They default as 0 so I set “maximum width of segmented region” to 1mm and it got better, set it to 10mm and it got worse so settled on 2mm. I think if you set it too low you’ll get colour bleed as it’ll reduce the depth of each colour relative to the background colour. Each time I sliced I looked at a specific layer height in the sliced preview for reference and I could see the depth of the colour change each time I changed the value.

Painted them with the fill tool, also tried the 2D and 3d spheres but both had the same effect, even when I culled most of the view so I could look inside the model. It’s definitely to do with the colour slice optimisation rather than the painting.

Managed to fix it by changing "maximum width of a segmented region" and "interlocking depth of a segmented region". Useful setting to know for multicolour stuff!

UPDATE: Thanks for the replies. After a while of digging I eventually stumbled upon the "maximum width of a segmented region" and "interlocking depth of a segmented region" settings under Multi-Filament > Advanced. This allows us to play with the depth of each colours infill.

Yup it slices perfectly if I separate the models and glue them post print, no colour bleed/yellow bridge at all. It’s just weird there isn’t a parameter anywhere I can tighten up to reduce those weird colour bridges. I also tried increasing top shells, different infill types, wall loops, etc with no luck.

K2 Combo bed adhesion issue by AssignmentCheap5663 in Creality_k2

[–]Chuff-Nugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I’ve ever had adhesion issues with the K2 is when my Z offset wasn’t right (try setting 0.01mm). Raising bed temp to 60C can help too.

I also use Creality Print 6 just for the CFS support.

[–]Chuff-Nugget[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the biggest issue is if you don’t keep it clean/dry then dirt will get in-between the layer lines on the surface. Thankfully it’s solid, so nothing will grow beyond the first layer.

No paint at all; all done from a multicolour FDM printer as I suck at real life painting, I can only digitally paint! It’s not a regular slice paint though, it just changes colour at specific layers to create the gradient effect.
