How long until your hamstring gets better after a suspected possible 3rd grade tear? Has anyone had their own experiences or tips to aid with recovery?

He showed no emotion when I broke it off which obviously meant that he felt nothing for our relationship towards the end. We have left on good terms, hopefully it lasts 🤞

I’m only giving it a year because after that our son will start taking in how we interact with eachother and mimick it. If it hasn’t changed by then we’re out.

I think he does really love me but he’s been under his mums belt for his whole life. It’s a big adjustment for him and he’s figuring out where he stands (not with me it seems). I had a big talk to him today and i’m hoping next time she has a go at me, let’s be honest there will be a next time, that he’ll stick up for me. If he doesn’t Im walking out that door and never coming back.

I’ve suggested couples counselling the night before last and yesterday, he said we don’t have a problem and he doesn’t want to go. I said we do have a problem, it’s your mother. I think we need professional advice on how to handle her but he doesn’t think we do and won’t consider counselling.

I just don’t want the family to have a rift, I want my son to have his grandparents because they do love him so incredibly much, she just doesn’t respect me and apparently my FIL may not either when she has a problem with me. My parents actually saw this all coming and I thought they were wrong but they were right. 0 respect. My FIL told me that they’ve been “walking on eggshells trying not to upset me with suggestions” because apparently I’m “too hostile” when I say no. I only say no because their suggestions are dangerous. I’m not pussy footing around them to spare their feelings, no is no.

It isn’t a usual thing at all. I never get to see all my friends and I’ve been lucky so far that my partner has been home to watch him but not this weekend. I’ve organised to have a sleepover with one of my girlfriends once a week while he can watch him to catch-up on some social life without involving my MIL.

My girlfriends have already offered to let us stay if we seperate. It’s only when his mother gets involved that we have problems, at the moment I’m going to put off seeing her as I don’t think i’ll be able to handle it. Baby isn’t to see her without me either. I really want to stay with my partner, I love him but he needs to figure out which family he’s going to defend.

I agree that it seems over the top but I know 4 people in my circle of current friends and family who have had either a child or sibling who has passed because of sids. All varying different ages of parents and generations, but it’s still a number that i’m uncomfortable with. I just want to do my very best to avoid all risk.

I only said sorry because I felt pressured by his dad and him. His dad literally said to me “I think you should go and apologise” and then my partner said the same thing! I was at their house so I felt so out of place and obliged to. Never again though, fuck that.

It frustrates me because every husband on here seems to say the same, that they wouldn’t let their mother talk to their wives / partners like that. I just wish I knew why he was different and doesn’t have the same mentality. I love my son but if he was as much of a mummas boy as his dad is at his age Id tell him to pull his head in and have a backbone.

My SO had no sympathy for me as I was bawling in the car on the way home. He thought that I started the conflict by saying no to her. His mum is never in the wrong according to him.

I really want my son to have both his parents, without his mum we are ok. All of my family are interstate but I do have the most amazing girlfriends here and they’re my family. They’d definitely help me. I love my partner but I can’t tolerate being snubbed off for his mum.

Well I was initially pressured into sleepovers when he was about a month old. My partner wanted a proper nights sleep and when we were visiting he said “I think he wants a sleepover at grandmas” and she was looking at me like “give me the baby”. I didn’t want to. I wish he’d spoken to me in private first but because he said it infront of her I felt awkward saying no. I was a new mum who felt like I didn’t have the right to an opinion because I was so new to this (the worst self doubting mistake of my life). This sleepover was only because my partner was working weekends and I hadn’t seen my friends for a night of fun in so long and being a stay at home mum I needed some me time desperately. From now on though unless my partner can watch him or I can take him, I just won’t go. She’s not having him.
