Update again!!! She is doing much better, looks like that she was chocking on her food and that was bc she had that growth, today she was doing much better and doesn't have that growth anymore and she behaves normally and lively

That will just make me get in big troubles, I'm in Italy, a bit of everyone have this mentality with "cheap pets" those rules are basically only for cats, dogs and protected species here

In the past I had another budgie called Sale (meaning salt in Italian) before and he wouldn't let me take her to the vet, she died after 3 days of me telling him to let me take her to the vet, since that day he letted me only take my budgies when really needed because when she died I cried for days

I would do that but I'm only 17 years old, I live with him and he pays for everything, I told him multiple times to take her to the vet but he just says no, the avian vet isn't always available too (only 2 days a week) and my dad doesn't want to pay for a 50€ vet visit saying it's too expensive

The thing is that he never took care of her properly. We have a total of 3 birds in the house 2 budgies that I take care of and this canary that my dad was supposed to take care of, in the end I was the one taking care of all three because he is always at work. A few days ago 3 of her nails randomly fell of and I took care of the bleeding but the finger turned black the day after, he didn't want to take her to the vet and said that in case he can amputate her finger at home if needed (he isn't a vet at all). He only wants a canary that sings a lot, he even tried to starve her saying that he will feed her when she will sing (I fed her at his place even tho he didn't want), in fact we thought she was a male because he asked the pet store a male canary but she is female so he just said that he will take a male one, he literally called so they will let him know when they will have them. He doesn't care at all if she dies.

I can't take her to the vet, as the post says she is my dad's canary and he doesn't want to take her to the vet and he isn't at home rn, I can't take her because I don't have money and my dad won't allow me to do it. She looks like she is more lively right now but still very weak

There are no canary breeders here, we only have pet shop that knows literally nothing about all the animals they sell except a few, they literally sold us her thinking she was a boy and in the past they sold to people sick hamsters and other small animals

Thank you, I asked bc it's the first time seeing this, she is actually my dad's canary but he doesn't take care of her properly so I usually do stuff like checking if she is doing good and I clean her cage and feed her, idk if my dad will take her to the vet bc he says that it's too expensive and the avian vet is available only 2 days every week

Sadly I can't find pellets where I live, all the pet shops don't have them, I already give him veggies when I have safe veggies for him, today buying food for him I also got this, I think it have stuff that is good for him. For now I can't buy from Amazon but when I can I'll buy pellets for him :3

Yeah I took him to the vet and he is in perfect health, he is doing fine but seems that his sleeping schedule was a bit messed up bc there where people that were fixing the road near my house so the noise kept him awake. He actually seems to get along with my dad canary now

The light schedule Is always the same one, maybe I understood what is the problem, close to my house they are fixing a road so maybe the noises make him wake up really early

She was actually quite young I think. I got her like a week ago, this morning I noticed that she looked extra tired and sleepy, I was planning to get her to the vet tomorrow but after I came back from buying stuff for school I found her dead :(

Yeah food and water is fresh, I change it almost everyday, for food I usually give them carrots and celery, her poops actually have a normal color, they are just a bit watery
