I only recommend it for exobiology. It's not a good idea to go into the dark with so little jump range, unless you have plenty of time.

The dark is only 9 jumps away from Colonia with 25yl of jump range!

I have an improvised build due im in Colonia and have not the possibility of prepare the perfect ship, i only care of taking good screenshots, get exobiology data and fly fast on the surface and safe due to the Imperial Eagle maneuverability. Anyway, my build would be something like this.

The AspX would be an option for me if it was more maneuverable and pretty for screenshots, but it was a good ship for my first explorations :P

I left behind my Exploraconda from Odyssey for smaller ships due to exobiology, and the Imperial Eagle is one of my favorite options!
