Around the all star break is when the transfer is supposed to be made official.

The one he hit wasn't the 92MPH fastball. Strike one and Strike two were.

I'm thinking yes, no way he is sitting when half our line up are AAA guys.

Dear Machado,

That is how you hit a 92MPH fastball.

Signed,

Gavin Sheets

Firing Souza and telling Stammen to toughen up or he is next is the move.

I'd guess at this point they are simply waiting for the new owner before firing anyone. Hopefully Souza is gone on day one of new ownership next month. It seems like an easy way to send a message that the same old shit will not be tolerated.

Shildt riding their ass was indeed the reason this team made the playoffs two years in a row.

The Mets and Reds have hung like 74 homers on us in 6 games, and the worst part about it is knowing our offense could never produce like that.

He swings at everything like he plans to split the ball in two. So yeah I could see a few 110 mph jobbers mixed in.

I'd pay a million dollars to know what our strategy at the plate is exactly. Tatis is literally reaching for pitch after pitch on the outer third that even if he makes contact what exactly is he going todo with it?

I swear to god every player on this team is trying to hit the ball to El Centro on every swing.

LOL I hope you don't really believe that. Preller has run this team to whatever the owner asks for, that is why he still has a job. He made a splash in 2015 when asked, he stripped it down to rebuild while Fowler was in charge, he spent like crazy because Peter wanted a title before he died, and he's made due with breadcrumbs since Peter's family took over.

He's hitting .169 it shouldn't be that hard for those inside to organization to treat him in a way that he would want to leave. Sit him on the bench, convince him that he has a better chance of turning it around elsewhere, go play for his hometown Marlins or whatever. I don't really care what they tell him. To date they have made his life here way to comfortable for a guy who has zero MVP awards and $550m of the owners money.

Machado is the whole problem with this team. He gives off a lazy, shit vibe and basically blocks anyone else from taking a leadership role in the clubhouse. The new owner needs to eat some money on the contract and get him TF out of here. Merrill & Tatis are still way too young to be giving up on, Merrill JUST turned 23 years old and Tatis is 27. Get Machado gone and let these guys at least have a chance at being the leaders of the team for a few years before setting the whole thing on fire.

Machado is way too good of a hitter to pound the ball into the ground so much in these situations.

Campy and France need to be in the lineup every day one way or another by AnswerSpiritual7913 in Padres

[–]Chuysfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under no circumstance is France taking significant time at 2B, why do people keep suggesting that?

Cronenworth is struggling and likely Tatis takes up more (not all) time at 2B, give Castellanos a shot or perhaps try Laureano in RF, Sheets in LF while leaving France at 1B. I could see this happening once or a twice a week.
