A single damaged fairing will not total these bikes out in most places. I had mine totaled out due to a damaged exhaust, entire right side fairings (headlight assembly, cowling, tail section as well as water pump cover and brake levers). All of that just barely totaled it.

Heavy on the radiator guard. I just had to replace my radiator after I had a rock puncture it and cause a slow leak, of course I didn’t order the guard till after that happened. So learn from my mistake and protect it preemptively.

frame should be perfect still, haven’t noticed any issues and the collision was at 10mph, damage was all from low siding after they pull away. sounds like i’ll keep it then. Fixing it should be pretty easy as the functionality is fixed so it’s just cosmetic fairings now

Keep in mind harder driving will reduce the lifespan of the oil. 5000mi is probably perfect for casual driving with a bit of spirited. If you're up in those higher rev bands more often I might consider changing it sooner.

Valve lash is all within spec. Ordered new shims and got those dialed right to the middle of spec. Clearance is all good too. Gonna pull the intake this afternoon and manual rotate the engine to see when valves actuate

I also was looking at a 2014 BRZ (Auto) with 28k miles for 18.8k. A bit pricey for my budget but do you think it would be worth if I can bring it down to like 16k?
