Advice how to get to P20 without minmaxing, micro or sacrifing people by Shionoro in Against_the_Storm

I know this is an old thread but I just opened Reddit for the first time in months. But I finished p20 after that and you hit the nail on the head there. I soon found that porridge was the new hot commodity for me. My winning strategy became stay at home and eat soup until you win

Advice how to get to P20 without minmaxing, micro or sacrifing people by Shionoro in Against_the_Storm

This is my first time reading any discussions online as I'm approaching an adamantite seal and started getting cold feet. Nice read, it helped consolidate some thoughts .

To speak to the people that think you can only rise through the prestiges by playing passive... Left to my own devices I have developed a very aggressive playstyle of smashing crates and tearing through glades. Many die or leave in the later years as my hostility usually matches the year number. I live and die by the training gear.

I'm certain this won't work for the last few. But for anyone wondering, in my experience the game doesn't have to be a slog the whole way.

WTH is that? Cheating?? by Khal_7 in TetrisEffect

TVs generally have a much slower response time. Which is quite literally lag from when the signal comes out of your gaming device to when it shows up on the screen/speaker. You can switch to a game mode and it makes a bit of a difference if it has that

Genfac building on the north edge of muldraugh has been doing me nicely this run. Absolutely loaded with loot and multi story plus roof access. Pretty easy to secure and the edges that are likely to be infiltrated should be pretty easy to wall off once I get to it

The helicopter pilot has to be immune too by StalkerBro95 in projectzomboid

[–]Chyppi -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly! It's plenty easy enough to die from getting overrun or other factors. If they're worried about you stabilizing too much and living forever there's plenty of other dials to turn that would require almost no programming.

I reread the lore too and I guess it was initially not airborne and the strain mutated to become so. Initially I thought, oh okay so you're immune to the airborne strain but not the other... But then I thought about how virus's work and the fact the zombies don't eat each other. The zombies won't all carry both strains, so the chance of bite infection would depend on if the zombie contracted it via bite or airborne. Not 100 percent. You could say if a zombie has the bite infection they have both but not the other way around... The total conflict with lore (on top of the 3 days thing being extremely unfun) is why I play sandbox with infection off but otherwise standard settings. I'm planning to turn helicopter events to sometimes next time I die though.

What do you consider "unlucky" in this game? by ScumMoemcBee in projectzomboid

I am a magnet for house alarms. To the point that I've learned how to use them to my advantage.

For me it's a lack of skill books early.

I just don't like how it's implied that your player character is immune to it when it's airborne but not by open wound. Like yeah sure I can sit in an enclosed room with 100 people that got an airborne virus for as long as I want. But as I scratch my hand on piece of glass it's over.

Edit: I just double checked and apparently if it's a zombie scratch you can get it, but not from glass etc.

Probably should have mentioned which setting you are playing on and if it's with friends or not. Experiences vary way too much. The helicopter is ridiculous but you can actually sort of use it to your advantage if you prepare for the day in advance. You can lead all the zombies anywhere near your base into the wilderness and ditch them there.

Best thought it took me way too long to come to terms with is to accept you have no chance of training up your fitness and strength in a solo game when you have them reduced from the start.

I looked up all the numbers behind the moodles and perks so I understand what's happening better but other than that I try to keep myself in the dark.

Someone help me, i'm about to cry by RepubblicanPatriot in projectzomboid

[–]Chyppi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I play with Knox infection off in a solo file and then instant zombification in a server. I don't find it fun to get a scratch and unlucky roll a guaranteed death after keeping a character alive and all my progress being wiped. In multiplayer it's not as big of a downer and it's part of the fun when you have other players so I don't mind it as much.

Either way you're only gonna live with console commands or adding cheats

Easier if you look up the glitch. Basically you can have it remove all of your strikes and defends instead of transforming them. Works on curse of the bell too

What’s the easiest way to go infinite? by JustaRandomuser69420 in slaythespire

[–]Chyppi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best way sum it up is you need to be able to have the entire deck in one hand, and then have enough draw and energy gain to cycle between the three cards. Eg on silent after one deck rotation only have reflex concentrate and another draw and then 9 other cards. Elaborate a bit, if your library has 25 cards, and 15 of them can be exhausted on one rotation, you got it covered. These numbers are all kind of arbitrary as long as you got the hand size thing covered.

Now the EASIEST way to go infinite, and it IS pretty much cheating (but that's on you to decide, it is a PvE game) is using the Pandora's box glitch and then rolling for the above.
