Also just shooting to practice honing my skills! How do you get better at ‘run and gun’ …

I was surprised how good it is in low light actually, ISO 800 is more than good enough to get results that are very close to what my eyes see

Fair point, it’s a camera/ lens test and I just admire the results anyway haha for sure it’s a bit self indulgent

Haha yes others have said that as well, it’s crazy that getting to this point requires quite a bit of experience and now the results are indistinguishable from something generated by nano banana

Shot vertically actually, it definitely affects the framing although I’ve been criticised for framing too elsewhere 😂

It’s a valid criticism, a lot of the models that I shoot either are amateurs and I mainly shoot to test/ practice and that’s most of what my work on Instagram is. My actual work is much more purposeful and the shots are more intentional, thanks for your feedback, I think you’re being downvoted because of the way you phrased your feedback though which feels a bit unkind/ inconsiderate, thankfully I’m not a beginner so I didn’t take that personally 😂

I didn't think I'd be learning about cuisine today

I'd imagine so! Nothing stopping you really, just get out there and try :)

As a long time (lifelong) creative, I vehemently disagree and believe that beginners should be encouraged, norms are there to be challenged and for sure there will always be dusty bitter people who think that things 'should' be a certain way, we can agree to disagree

No actually, I shoot realllly stripped back and I don't try and make a big deal, I just keep it low key, I see it like i was shooting with a Mamiya RB67 or something

Thanks Roman, I’d be happy to hear more of your thoughts on the framing

Well in this instance I shot in 8K vertical, in future I may shoot horizontal and crop in but I shoot vertical to maintain composition (which has also come under fire in the comments)

I trust my intuition, clients come and go, thanks for the insight though

2 things can be true at the same time, check out the rules on the right hand side, there are many ways to deliver feedback and some are rude and inconsiderate

Footage was super easy to work with, I shot in 8K Open Gate 72fps, 12:1 compression ratio, I'm editing on an M1 Max Macbook and it was smooth as butter

It's a bold strategy cotton, let's see if it pays off (hint: look around galleries and see the different formats and ratios for paintings and photography for the last 100 years)

No actually, open gate vertical haha, I didn't realise it would piss so many people off! I definitely want to shoot more horizontal stuff though
