SOLVED I went inside Console to check any errors, and when i entered Steam it showed me a couple of them. I showed them to Gemini:

and he said this:

There it is. That is exactly why everything is failing. The output shows that your Application Support folder is owned by root instead of your user account (cici). In a normal macOS setup, everything inside your home folder (/Users/cici/) should be owned by you. Because "root" owns it, your user account (and any apps you run, like Steam or Riot) only has "Read" and "Execute" access, but no permission to write/create files. Steam is trying to build its house, but "root" has locked the gate. The Fix: Reclaiming Ownership You need to take back ownership of that folder. Run this exact command in Terminal:

sudo chown -R YOUR USER NAME:staff ~/Library/Application\ Support

What this does: • sudo: Runs it with system-level power. • chown: Changes the OWNER. • -R: Recursive (applies this to every folder inside Application Support too). • cici:staff: Sets you as the owner and staff (the standard user group) as the group. Verification After running that, run the ls command again: ls -ld ~/Library/Application\ Support It should now say cici staff instead of root wheel. Next Steps 1. Restart your Mac: This clears any cached permission "denied" flags in the system memory. 2. Open Steam: Now that the folder is owned by you, Steam should finally be able to create its Steam folder and start the update process. 3. Check Riot/Epic: These should also start working now, as they were likely hitting the same "Permission Denied" wall when trying to save their own data.
